MultiVersus Leaker Hints That Injustice 3 Won't Actually Be Injustice 3

Earlier this week, a Warner Bros. Games developer let slip on their resume that they were working on Injustice 3, corroborating rumors that a sequel was in development. However, it might not be Injustice 3, exactly.

In an X post quoting their last tease ("MultiVersus shutting down is an injustice, then doing it all again is another injustice. Leaving me without any leaks is yet again another injustice"), leaker MultiverSusie hinted that "it's time we move on from the Injustice branding."

Injustice 2 either ends with Superman imprisoned in the Phantom Zone, or melding with Braniac's technology to enslave Batman into his authoritarian regime. The 'bad' ending might be an interesting premise to kick-start a new game, putting Bruce Wayne on the back foot like the rebels in The Empire Strikes Back, but yet another Injustice about taking down an evil Superman with a plucky superhero resistance, when the trope is already overstaying its welcome, might be one game too many.
