Developer Unfrozen, alongside publisher Hooded Horse and IP owner Ubisoft, have announced that their turn-based strategy revival Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era has crossed a big sales milestone in its first day.
First announced back in 2024, Olden Era was released yesterday, and it looks like it's already struck a chord with fans looking for a return to the old-school values of the Might and Magic series, because it's racked up 250,000 sales in that time.
In a press release, the aforementioned three studios confirm that it actually only took Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era 16 of its first 24 hours to achieve the sales figure, so presumably, it's all smooth sailing from here on out for the game.
As the first new Heroes of Might and Magic game in more than a decade, this is an auspicious start for Olden Era, but it's got a long way to go before its 1.0 release. Unfrozen and Hooded Horse say plenty is planned for Early Access, including more campaign maps, pre-made scenarios, and a Spectator Mode.
