In a new Reddit AMA on r/gaming, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 developer Warhorse Studios addressed the recent rumors that it is developing a Lord of the Rings game.
"Obviously we can't comment on future projects, at least not until we're in the future (but if you have a time machine, please show us!)," community manager Tom Grey replied to one fan (thanks, Rock Paper Shotgun). "Voilá there is a response!" added content director Ondrej Bittner. "But unfortunately not the one you hope for. We are hard at work on... something. I cannot disclose details but I can tell [you] it is a huge, immersive RPG."
This rumor stems from localization specialist Ryszard Chojnowski (whose credits include The Witcher and Medal of Honor: Vanguard). He claimed last month to have heard from someone else that the Czech studio was working on a LOTR game, believed to be the same one reported by Insider Gaming last year that secured $100 million in funding from the Abu Dhabi Investment Office.
Grey and Bittner can't disclose whether the rumors are true, and their comments don't exactly clue us in, but hey, it isn't a denial. Though "a huge, immersive RPG" from the devs behind...
