Invincible VS has launched with a surprise round of DLC costumes for some of its characters, and getting all six of them will cost nearly as much as the base version of the game.
After years of waiting for a dedicated Invincible game, the long wait finally came to an end yesterday with Invincible VS, a bloody 3v3 tag fighter that aims to bring the world of the show and comics to life. So far, reception to the game has been mostly positive (I was a fan in my review), but there have been a few notable stumbles already.
A lot of early impressions for Invincible VS aren't happy about its short story mode, the lack of single-player content, and a glitch that caused Deluxe Edition content for the game to not appear for most of its launch day. Those annoyances pale in comparison to the DLC costumes that released with Invincible VS and somehow cost nearly as much as the game itself.
Before Invincible VS launched, we didn't know all that much about the kinds of DLC outside of characters that Quarter Up had planned for the game, although it seemed inevitable that we'd be getting...
