If there's one area the Star Wars universe has yet to fully explore, it's horror. That's not to say there aren't some elements present, and the iconic scene of Darth Vader wreaking havoc in Rogue One does count, but the franchise is ripe for a full horror experience from start to finish.
Fortunately, Fortnite, with its recently-debuted Star Wars crossover, is ready to bring that experience to fans via a new experience called "Star Wars Escape Vader." As the name implies, it's all about trying to escape the clutches of Darth Vader, and it promises to be a scary experience.
"Brave the wreck of a Star Destroyer with up to 3 friends in search of a hidden artifact," the experience's description reads. "Find the Power Cells, unlock the secret room, and escape before Darth Vader cuts your mission short. One wrong move and his lightsaber will be the last thing you see."
20 years later, it's hard to imagine Disney making a game like Republic Commando, but that's exactly what the sequel era needs.
