Mere months after the troubled MindsEye had begun work on a Cyberpunk 2077-esque "reset", its development studio, Build a Rocket Boy, has undergone a fresh round of layoffs.
This latest round of layoffs could cost as many as 170 employees their jobs, and is the third such restructuring in less than 12 months since MindsEye hit the market. A previous round of layoffs last June saw as many as 100 employees let go.
First reported by Kotaku, Build a Rocket Boy has suffered a third round of layoffs since MindsEye's launch on June 10 last year. Sources familiar with the company and its restructuring have suggested that up to 170 employees could be at risk.
The studio has yet to officially confirm that layoffs have taken place, but a range of staff, again reported by Kotaku, have indicated they are no longer with Build a Rocket Boy. These include James Tyler (Technical Level Designer), Tom Cross (Audio Designer), Gary Iain Gough (QA Analyst), and Leah Philpot (Level Designer).
