Per recent updates from 2K's Support Page and Take-Two's recent earnings call, fans now know when WWE 2K26's online status will shut down and that WWE 2K27 is in development. None of this should be surprising, given the annual cadence of WWE 2K games, but some fans may be unhappy about the online shutdown news all the same.
That said, WWE 2K26 didn't manage to get over with a ton of fans. In my own review of WWE 2K26, I noted how it ended up "disappointing far more than its predecessors" and how its core content was "undermined by a lack of creative ambition," and that was before the foreseeable controversy of the Ringside Pass hit fans. It's uncertain if the Ringside Pass will return in WWE 2K27, but fans know it's in the works all the same (though that was not a hard guess).
