This summer's Steam Next Fest is here. A celebration of gaming during which developers, largely smaller, independent ones, offer up demos of their games for free. There are, quite literally, thousands of them to choose from, so figuring out where to start in the hope you might find something you like can be pretty daunting.
If you're ready and willing to dive into just about anything, checking out which demos have the highest ratings is a good place to start. That's where I come in. I've taken a look at which demos from Steam Next Fest have been the most popular in terms of review scores courtesy of SteamDB, with several already scoring above 90 percent.
The highest-scoring demo of the more than 8,500 available is currently Casualties: Unknown. Developed by Orsoniks, Casualties: Unknown combines cave exploration with video game Operation. As you drop deeper into the dark, you inevitably pick up injuries that you will then have to heal yourself. With a 93.08 percent score so far, it is, according to those leaving reviews, the best demo Next Fest has to offer.
