Eclipse Glow Games has announced that award-winning British actress Jennifer English, best known for playing the role of Shadowheart in Baldur's Gate 3 by Larian Studios, and Maelle in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 by Sandfall Interactive, will no longer feature in the upcoming Tides of Annihilation game.
Jennifer English has been highly commended for her work, earning the BAFTA Games Award for Best Performer in a Leading Role, winning the Best Performance at The Game Awards 2025, and picking up the accolade for Best Performer at the Golden Joystick Awards, all for her performance as Maelle in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Tides of Annihilation was set to be English’s next major role, but she has left the role citing health issues. However, she is eager to continue supporting the title, just in an alternate way from what fans would expect.
