PS5 Ad Confirms Saros, Astro Bot, Wolverine, And More Will Never Come To PC

It’s an open secret that PlayStation doesn’t plan to put its exclusive single-player games on PC anymore. Now the studio has given its clearest indicator yet that it has left PC ports behind, for the most part, via its latest ad flaunting games that are “only on PS5”.

The new ad reminds the world that upcoming PS5 exclusives Wolverine and God of War Laufey won’t just be available on PS5 alone when they launch - it will remain that way for a very long time, potentially forever. However, the ad also confirms assumptions that this new anti-PC PlayStation edict was put in place sometime between the releases of Ghost of Yotei and Saros.

That’s because both of those more recent PlayStation exclusives have also made it into the ad, confirming that, unless there’s a big pivot in PlayStation’s new strategy, you will need a PS5 if you ever want to play them. That’s until the next generation of PlayStation consoles, when they inevitably get remasters or complete editions, at which point they’ll be able to play on PS6.
