Bungie is Moving Out of its HQ Following Layoffs

Bungie is a game studio that needs no introduction. After all, it’s the one that created the original Halo all the way back in 2001, and still maintains a place of prominence in the modern day thanks to the success of the Destiny series.

Unfortunately, ever since the company was acquired by Sony in 2022, it’s been firmly on the back foot, with near-constant layoffs and downsizing year after year. Most recently, the studio experienced another round of layoffs on the Destiny and Marathon teams this past June, and apparently, the remaining crew isn’t taking up enough space to warrant the continued existence of its studio campus.

In a commercial listing uncovered by The Game Post, it was discovered that Bungie’s headquarters in Bellevue, Washington, has gone up for sublease, with the entirety of its 210,984 square feet campus apparently eligible for new tenants through September 2035.

A Bungie representative reached out to The Game Post shortly after this news broke earlier today, confirming that, while Bungie will still have some operations on the campus, the full scope of the property no longer fits the studio’s needs.
