If there's one game that has a chance to rival Grand Theft Auto 6 in terms of popularity this November, it's World of Warcraft: Forever.
Now, I may be a bit biased as someone who has willingly played Classic WoW all the way through Mists of Pandaria, but it's clear Blizzard has been cooking something special: a new way to play the game we all fell in love with 20 years ago. No expansion updates, no retail bloat, just beautiful, old-school vanilla World of Warcraft at its finest.
WoW: Forever's beta launched after BlizzCon 2026, and Blizzard's login servers were temporarily overwhelmed by demand. There's clearly a market for people who want to play Classic World of Warcraft as it was before The Burning Crusade ever launched, but with new content rooted in that old-school design philosophy.
With the game's beta currently ongoing before its November 4th launch, Blizzard has been using player feedback to make some changes. Some of them, as recently discussed on the WoW: Forever Podcast, have been well received. Others, however, have not.
