If you were hoping to play Bloober Team's upcoming Silent Hill 2 Remake on a non-PlayStation console or PC, then you'll have to wait.

Just how long?

Exactly one year and one day from the game's upcoming release of October 7.

That information comes via the remake's latest trailer, which touted the immersive features that will launch with the title, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on the DualSense to go along with 4K visuals. Tucked away at the very end is a disclaimer that Silent Hill 2 Remake will be a PlayStation 5 Console Exclusive until October 8, 2025.

Of course, we knew that Silent Hill 2 Remake would be a timed PlayStation console exclusive, though the actual date of exclusivity was still to be determined.

Previews for the remake are better than anyone could ever have expected.

Long-time gamers might recall back in the day that Rise of the Tomb Raider, the sequel to the Tomb Raider reboot title, was originally a timed Xbox exclusive. After roughly a year of exclusivity, it made its way to PS4 via the 20-Year Celebration edition, which bundled some extra goodies.
