Palworld Shadowdropped On PlayStation 5 During State Of Play

After tons of rumors, including teases from the team themselves, Palworld is officially coming to PlayStation 5. What's more, the game is out right now. As revealed during Tuesday's State of Play presentation, the Pocketpair developed breakout title is officially on PS5.

If Nintendo is successful, it will set a dangerous precedent for the future of the games industry.

The release on PS5 brings a bit of good news for the game. Recently, Nintendo sued Pocketpair over patent infringements, allegig that the game "infringes multiple patent rights." Nintendo announced the joint lawsuit via a post on the Nintendo Japan website.

That suit was filed on September 18, and in the time since, the Palworld community began to rally around Pocketpair. Over on the game's subreddit, many gamers echoed their support for the team, along with other signs of support throughout social media.

Prior to that, Pocketpair found itself in a bit of a pickle when a prior interview was misconstrued online. In that interview, which apparently took place months ago, Pocketpair discussed some of the challenges it had been facing in maintaining Palworld's popularity.
