Baldur's Gate 3 has become the latest game to let console players use mods, something typically reserved for those on PC. So far, this has been a hit, with 1.7 million mods installed within 24 hours of the latest patch being available on console.
According to Larian, this means that 40 percent of players are now using mods - not a bad figure considering they've only been available on console for a few days.
The stats are pretty wild. Through the 2,000 mods that have been made and shared using the official mod toolkit, there were 1.7 million downloads on console in under 24 hours. Since Patch 7 went live on September 5 (it was available on PC a month before console) 22 million mods have been installed in total. We can expect this figure to rise quite a lot now that even more players have access to easily accessible modding.
