OG Silent Hill 2 Artist Says Bloober Made "Correct Choice" in Design Decision for One Boss Fight

Have you played the original Silent Hill 2 game when it was released way back in 2001? Did you play the recently released remake from Bloober Team? If so, you might have noticed some design changes made by the Polish studio that extends beyond the graphical changes.

Over on X, Masahiro Ito, Team Silent deve member and the artist behind Silent Hiill 1-4 among others, shared his thoughts on one of the game's boss encounters and how Bloober made the "correct choice" in changing it from the original. What Change Did the Silent Hill 2 Original Developer Like From the Remake?

As you can see, Ito liked the design choice by Bloober Team where they overlapped the silhouette of game protagonist James entering through the door and Angel's negative memories -- something players will be slowly subjected through throughout the horror game.

Ito adds that for this particular battle, it made him wish that Unreal Engine 5 and the PS5 had been around when they were developing it...
