Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket launched on October 29, 2024, for iOS and Android, allowing Pokémon fans to enjoy the excitement of opening packs directly on their mobile devices.

Anyone can get started, with the game offering users the opportunity to open two packs for free each day. Pocket was co-developed by DeNA and The Pokémon Company. If you are looking to battle, expect a streamlined streamlined rules and 20 card decks and it's also important to note that there is no trading at launch.

As a 33-year-old with a rekindled passion for collecting Pokémon cards (mostly collecting graded cards to pass down to family) two years ago, I'm thrilled to see the Pokémon TCG expanding to mobile platforms.

10 Million Downloads and Strong Revenue

The Pokémon Company announced on X that Pocket has been downloaded over 10 million times across the globe. That number is expected to climb over the coming weeks. In terms of geographical distribution, the USA is leading the charge with the other top countries being Japan, Brazil, Mexico and Indonesia.
