Former Rockstar Games designer Ben Hinchliffe says that Grand Theft Auto 5's infamous Mount Chiliad easter egg was likely added by Rockstar just to "mess with people".
One of the greatest things about Rockstar Games' titles is how many easter eggs, secrets, and mysteries there are to find throughout its open-world games. Ever since the days of GTA 3, Rockstar has liked hiding as many things as possible for players to find, even though most of the secrets end up going unanswered.
Games need to wind down in scope, not blow up to such unbelievable levels as to turn singleplayer games into ever-expanding live-service worlds.
