Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Season One begins next week, and will introduce new maps, modes, and more.

Revealed on Twitter, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Season One will begin on December 3rd. It will be free to all players, and will release simultaneously for all platforms. Coming to the game are new Multiplayer Maps, Gunfight Maps, weapons, and more. You can see the full list of content below:

  • Multiplayer Maps: Crash, Vacant, Shipment
  • Ground War Map: Port
  • 2v2 Gunfight Maps: Cargo, Atrium, and more
  • Multiplayer Modes: Reinforce, Gunfight OSP, Infected
  • Special Ops Experiences: Bomb Squad, Grounded, Pitch Black, Just reward, and more
  • Weapons: Ram-7, Holger-26

Modern Warfare's Season One being free is a part of Activision's new structure of all DLC content being free to all players across all platforms without being locked behind a season pass or as premium content. Loot boxes were also eliminated, instead being replaced a Battle Pass system. This system has players earning anything that has an impact one the game, instead of having to buy the items. There are still items to buy with real money, but they are purely cosmetic.

The console version of Call of Duty is not the only one that has been receiving new content. Call of Duty: Mobile recently received a new Zombies Mode, which unlocks at level 5. Along with a Classic mode, Zombies Mode will also feature a Raid Mode. In this mode, players must complete a set number of waves until they come to a final boss. The Raids will feature two difficulty modes: Normal, which had 8 rounds, and Heroic, which has 12 rounds.

Call of Duty: Mobile also added controller support. The game now supports official DualShock 4 and official Xbox One controllers. All versions of PlayStation 4 will work, except for the first generation, which will not be supported. Activision has stated that additional controller support may come in the future.
