More than two years after The Witcher 4 was first announced, we finally have a cinematic trailer. As many fans speculated, the trailer confirms that Ciri is the new protagonist, taking over from Geralt, who led the first three games.
It's been almost a decade since the last game, The Witcher 3, so fans are understandably excited to finally have something on the sequel - and even more so to know that they'll be playing as Ciri. However, there's one thing about the trailer that has fans worried: Ciri might not be played by Jo Wyatt anymore.
A change in actor hasn't been confirmed just yet, but it's hard to deny that Ciri sounds very different in this cinematic trailer. This has led many to wonder if she's been recast for The Witcher 4, perhaps to go for a more mature take on the character.
