Players can now add customized music to their bases in No Man's Sky.

No Man's Sky's latest update, Update 2.24, adds the ByteBeat device, which allows players to add music to their bases. In a No Man's Sky blog post, Hello Games gave details on how the ByteBeat works. Players construct a ByteBeat into their base, and then connect it to a power source. The device will then start blasting music. The first song that the device starts playing will be procedurally generated when first constructed. Players will have the ability to adjust the music however they like. They can interact with the ByteBeat to set a tempo, octave, key, melody, and drums. Gamers will have the ability to create their own songs, and create something unique.

It is possible to link multiple ByteBeats, allowing players to create complex audio bits. The ByteBeat can also be attached to other objects. This will allow gamers to create a light show that will sync up with the music being played out of the ByteBeat. The ByteBeat also lets gamers share custom beats with others.

Update 2.24 will also come with other fixes, improvements, and new content. This includes a new weekend mission happening this weekend, which will allow players to earn generous Quicksilver rewards. There will also be new community research. There is also a wealth of fixes for some of No Man's Sky's issues. You can read the full patch notes here.

Update 2.24 comes soon after No Man's Sky's major Synthesis Update. The Synthesis Update allows players to upgrade their ships, giving them the ability to add inverntory slots slots to their ships, and spend nanites to upgrade their class. The update also came with a new Terrain Editing System, the ability to save custom outfits, and more.

No Man's Sky's Update 2.24 is available now. The update is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
