Rhythm Paradise Groove may not be this year’s must-have game on the Nintendo Switch, but it still offers a solid experience that should delight fans of rhythm games this summer.

It’s not the radical overhaul we’d hoped for, but rather a glorified remaster that’s very well put together.

15 / 20 - Star Fox
Jul 3, 2026

Star Fox on Switch 2 is therefore a wonderful reminder of what Nintendo did best when it set out to refine an idea to perfection.

10 / 20 - Dark Scrolls
Jun 30, 2026

Dark Scrolls isn’t a disaster, far from it. Its fast-paced action, humour, quirky heroes and co-op mode make for a few enjoyable sessions, especially with a friend on the sofa. But the imprecise controls, confusing progression and overly repetitive gameplay prevent the game from becoming truly addictive.

17 / 20 - The Drifter
Jun 26, 2026

The Drifter is a fine demonstration of what a narrative adventure can still achieve when it knows where it’s going.

The Adventure of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is a wonderful surprise. Whilst many expected nothing more than a simple Zelda game in HD-2D, Team Asano has ultimately delivered an action RPG with a distinct identity of its own.

With superb production values—the only thing missing being a French translation—Schrödinger's Call is a very good visual novel.

Whilst the action sequences are a bit much, everything else is incredibly well crafted and will ensure you have a brilliant time discovering the origins of the most famous British spy of all time.

Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred doesn’t reinvent Sanctuary and its universe, but it does give it a new backbone. With a faster pace, greater clarity and more content, underpinned by a solid campaign and two truly compelling classes, it transforms Diablo IV into a more cohesive experience than it was at launch.

13 / 20 - Invincible VS
May 8, 2026

Aimed primarily at fans of the franchise, Invincible VS is a rather enjoyable fighting game for playing against friends. It’s accessible, so it’s easy to pick up and immediately fun, especially for fans of gory fighting games where you just need to hammer away at the controller to get by. However, its lacklustre single-player content and its combo system—which leaves room for improvement and ultimately feels repetitive—prevent it from becoming a must-have in the genre.

14 / 20 - Gambonanza
May 7, 2026

Gambonanza is a solid puzzle game disguised as a cheeky roguelike, but its costume is sometimes more fun than the party itself.

17 / 20 - Pragmata
May 1, 2026

Pragmata hasn’t spent all these years in the shadows for nothing. Showing an unexpected appetite for risk, Capcom has delivered a compact, engaging sci-fi adventure that is, above all, driven by a genuine gameplay concept: one where shooting and hacking learn to work in harmony.
