Bayonetta 2 remains one of Platinum's best games, and is a treat on Switch just as it was on Wii U.
Bayonetta on the Switch is a fantastic port for handheld mode but there's not much improved for TV gamers aside from load times. Bayonetta 2 remains one of Platinum's best games, and is a treat on Switch just as it was on Wii U.
Dynasty Warriors offers a plethora of playable characters, large-scale battles, and a feeling of godhood as you smash through scores of enemies with a single thing. What more could you ask for from a Warriors game?
While possibly catering to fans of the sport in terms of content, the overly aggressive AI and unnaturally twitchy handling mean that Monster Energy Supercross just isn't that fun to play.
Much like its predecessor, The Fall Part 2: Unbound is needlessly obtuse in some of its puzzle design, but its magnificent characters and storytelling make the frustration worth it.
Impossible to dislike thanks to superb combat and great characters. 80s inspired gaming never felt so good.
A good management sim with an interesting style, but it may be a bit grim for some
The Longest Five Minutes is an interesting RPG that has a non linear story with some interesting classic JRPG mechanics that also suffers due to some tedious design decision.
From the art style to the way it plays, this game is exactly what the screenshots and videos make it look like, but it's a very well made example. The combat is fast and, while not as precise as many will be used to, makes sense to add difficulty to the game.
SteamWorld Dig is the game that put Image & Form on the map for most people. It was my first experience with them and I loved it when I played it

It's nothing hugely original, but Wulverblade certainly has heart and style.
The combination of 2D gameplay with 3D objects and some voxel based items and power ups seems like a blend of distinct styles waiting to go wrong but it works well and runs great.
Nine Parchments is a very interesting take on a few genres blended together. If you've ever wanted a Harry Potter game but with a Diablo influence with some Magicka thrown in, Nine Parchments is the game for you. I'm a little hesitant to recommend it as a purchase for solo players but for playing with friends, this is a whole lot of fun.
Surely a game that's looking over at it's anime stablemate green with envy, Knights of Britannia commits the sin of sloth, and ultimately lacks pride.
Dragon Quest Builders is quite simply a perfect fit for the Nintendo Switch and a brilliant entrée before the sequel releases this year.
Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] is a great middle ground between the Street Fighters and the anime fighters that exist today with a deep and yet accessible gameplay and great tutorial.
A revelatory combination of the online PvP survival and competitive shooter genres, well deserving of being labelled as a phenomenon. As an added bonus, you don't have to be pro gamer to enjoy some level of success online.
Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology is a great package for people who never played the original and are looking for a great RPG but it doesn't offer enough good new content for people who played the original on the DS.
The thing is, what Dissidia NT does do well is hamstring itself from actually being good.
