God is a Geek's Reviews

9 / 10.0 - EA Sports UFC 3
Feb 1, 2018

It's about as complete an experience as it can be, and MMA fans will love what EA has done with UFC 3.

Jan 30, 2018

Bluepoint has brought one of the best games to ever grace a Sony console back to life on the PS4, and has done so with tenderness and care.

7 / 10.0 - Nine Parchments
Jan 29, 2018

What Nine Parchments lacks in depth it makes up for in shameless whimsey and colourful charm.

6.5 / 10.0 - Gorogoa
Jan 28, 2018

An intelligent puzzle game, Gorogoa certainly tests your logic skills, but it also forgets to really teach you how to handle later chapters when things suddenly get much more complicated.

Jan 28, 2018

Her Majesty's Spiffing has some of the sharpest, funniest writing I've seen in a games and it has the rare accolade of being a point-and-click adventure that follows actual real life logic. But it's all over far too soon and leaves an unsatisfied feeling with plot threads just left hanging.

This is more Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth which is great but also has a lot of reused assets sadly.

9.5 / 10.0 - Iconoclasts
Jan 28, 2018

While most Metroidvanias find themselves struggling with their pace, Iconoclasts never lets up. It's one of the best of its kind and definitely needs to be played.

10 / 10.0 - Celeste
Jan 28, 2018

A sensational platformer with an important story at its heart. Celeste is engaging, rewarding, and reminds us that the reward is worth the hard journey.

A marked improvement on the 2016 console release, it continues to be a marvelous simulation game with a compelling gameplay loop, but its systems often feel impenetrable for any but the most persistent players.

8.5 / 10.0 - Little Red Lie
Jan 25, 2018

Little Red Lie is a fantastic narrative told over two different sides that will hit home often enough to exhaust you mentally.

Jan 25, 2018

From the gorgeous visuals to the design in its monsters and ecosystems, Capcom has made the best Monster Hunter game yet. It's just a shame it doesn't help with its complex systems an occasionally poor explanations of them.

5 / 10.0 - Vesta
Jan 25, 2018

Vesta is best described as okay, and it never really rises above that level despite its prettiness

5.5 / 10.0 - The Inpatient
Jan 23, 2018

Despite an incredible opening hour, the second half of the game really falls off a cliff, and never quite recovers. If you have PSVR and like Until Dawn, it's a no-brainer, but it's not the "more Until Dawn" we all really want.

Jan 22, 2018

An exquisite feeling fighter that is both approachable and deep. Time will tell if it has staying power, but it's the best use of the Dragon Ball Z name in quite some time.

What Ails you is a superb fourth episode, and gives us plenty of great set pieces and character progression as the series reaches its climax

6.5 / 10.0 - InnerSpace
Jan 18, 2018

InnerSpace is a visually stunning game that ultimately fails to connect. It wants the player to explore and uncover its secrets, but places them in an environment that is deliberately confusing to the point of frustration.

Jan 15, 2018

I really hope they patch this soon because despite the issues, I've had a blast playing portable Enter the Gungeon.

7.5 / 10.0 - Furi
Jan 15, 2018

It has been ace playing Furi on the Switch and while the port isn't perfect, Furi on Switch is a great way to experience the game.

6 / 10.0 - Vostok Inc.
Jan 15, 2018

Vostok Inc. is pretty good, but the grind does become frustrating; however, it's easier to put in short periods of time on the go, eventually leading you to amass that huge galactic empire, so the Switch is a very suitable host.

6.5 / 10.0 - Pinball FX3
Jan 15, 2018

I hope they patch these issues out because the game itself with progression, content, and the lovely gameplay is well worth checking out.
