Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory blends deep turn-based RPG combat with extensive Digimon collection and progression systems, revisiting the familiar digital world with extra mechanics and hundreds of monsters to recruit. While it reuses a lot of assets and structure from the original and can feel repetitive or grind-heavy, the battle system and breadth of content make it enjoyable for fans of Digimon and classic monster-raising RPGs.

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker's Memory may not be a true sequel to the 2016 original, but it's a better version of a familiar experience.
This is more Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth which is great but also has a lot of reused assets sadly.
After clocking in over 200 hours across both games, on the same save file, I can safely say the Cyber Sleuth games are easily some of the best Digimon games in the franchise. Despite some minor issues, a fair bit of grinding, and while still nowhere near the production values or quality of the Persona series -- Hacker's Memory is another solid turn-based RPG and a damn good Digimon game that you shouldn't miss if you played the original.
More skills, a new battle mode, and the addition of 80 new Digimon make Hacker's Memory worth the investment for anyone that's a fan of the series. It appreciates your love for the show, offering the most complete and enjoyable Digimon game to date.
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker's Memory is basicalley the same game as its predecessor. Fans of Digimon and the first Cyber Sleuth will surely love Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory, where the digital monsters are the undisputed stars of the film. On the bad side, it's almost exactly like the original game (some locations are the same, and even the soundtrack is reused), and for an JRPG it's pretty average.

It is not a jaw-dropping, life-changing piece, but it is an enjoyable experience especially for a Digimon fan.
