Dale Emasiri's Reviews
The game might seem to be a little formulaic to veterans of CRPGs but it is not without innovations of its own. For developer Event Horizon, Tower of Time is an astounding entry that gives fans of the CRPG genre something different to sink their teeth into.
Northgard is a must-play game for fans of the genre and could serve as a very good starting point for the newcomers who are just discovering RTS games for the first time.
Although there isn't a lot to it, its chaotic neon visuals and sense of introspection make it a worthwhile experience.
Hacktag is a wonderful experience and a fine example of how asymmetry in gameplay design can create an interesting dynamic of teamwork. It's a unique spin on co-op games that is worth you and your friends' time.
Dynasty Warriors offers a plethora of playable characters, large-scale battles, and a feeling of godhood as you smash through scores of enemies with a single thing. What more could you ask for from a Warriors game?
If you're interested in competitive gaming and really need something new to sink your teeth into, you do not need to look any further than Battlerite. Balanced, fun characters, unobtrusive monetisation, and refined to give the core experience of competitive gaming. Battlerite is exceptionally good.
A game that held a lot of potential. Five or ten years ago, this game would have been an exceptional 2-player co-op brawler à la Gauntlet or Golden Axe. Today it's a forgettable, short distraction that you're unlikely to play through a second time.
More than just another arena shooter, LawBreakers stands on its own to fill a niche that's different to any other titles out there, and I am thoroughly pleased to have the game change my opinions on it. An essential shooter.
The Fidelio Incident offered little beyond a well-written and well-acted story that was far too sparsely scattered around disappointingly uninspiring gameplay.
While Expeditions: Viking won't be winning any awards for ground-breaking storytelling or innovative gameplay, it's compelling in just the right way that keeps commanding attention throughout. I found it to be a lot of fun, if a little unpolished in places.
