God is a Geek's Reviews

Jurassic World Evolution: Complete Edition comes packed with content even for the most ardent of Jurassic Park fans. Frontier has an eye for detail and although there's a small compromise in terms of total dinosaur population the payoff is a surprisingly smooth experience.

9 / 10.0 - Mad Rat Dead
Nov 3, 2020

An incredible blend of rhythm game and platformer, Mad Rat Dead combines fluid gameplay and an incredible soundtrack to create a truly unique experience.

8 / 10.0 - Supraland
Nov 3, 2020

Supraland is a delight with a world that is brimming with secrets to discover. It is slightly too long and does have combat that feels largely superfluous, but the puzzles are consistently inventive and fun.

8 / 10.0 - Pacer
Oct 29, 2020

Pacer is an adrenaline-fuelled racer with tons of replayability, and plenty of customisation options to make each win count.

Little Hope has some of the best branching narrative that Supermassive Games has ever done, it looks lovely and packs a horror punch throughout.

8.5 / 10.0 - Watch Dogs: Legion
Oct 28, 2020

Watch Dogs: Legion suffers from a little jank in the tank, but the recruitment system is fantastic and there's just so much to see and do. The open world is full of detail, and the whole experience is full of heart.

9 / 10.0 - Pikmin 3 Deluxe
Oct 28, 2020

Pikmin 3 Deluxe has blossomed on Nintendo Switch into the complete package. With excellent coop and bags of content, it's an experience not to be missed

7.5 / 10.0 - Foregone
Oct 28, 2020

Foregone offers a consistent and enjoyable experience but doesn't do anything you can't find elsewhere.

8.5 / 10.0 - Röki
Oct 28, 2020

Röki is a wonderful fairy tale adventure with an affecting story, delicately told. It's a shame that this Switch version doesn't take advantage of the unique console features, but it does nothing to diminish this lovely, warm point and click adventure.

9 / 10.0 - Ghostrunner
Oct 26, 2020

Ghostrunner is built for that subset of gamers who enjoy the steepest challenge. The story is solid, the world is beautiful, and the precision insane - but this is a hardcore experience from start to finish

8.5 / 10.0 - Amnesia: Rebirth
Oct 26, 2020

Amnesia: Rebirth is an excellent example of how to build tension, and the vulnerability Tasi feels throughout never gets any easier. There are great puzzles and a well-written story that keeps you gripped until the end.

Oct 26, 2020

9 Monkeys of Shaolin's story is minimalist and fits a multitude of cliches, its gameplay is satisfying but limited, and the general atmosphere is brought down by mediocre visuals and formulaic music

8 / 10.0 - Crown Trick
Oct 26, 2020

While not perfect, Crown Trick has managed to give a unique rogue-like experience to a genre oversaturated with copy-paste ideas.

7.5 / 10.0 - Drone Swarm
Oct 26, 2020

Drone Swarm is a simple strategy title with great combat set amongst some pretty backdrops, where battles provide plenty of excitement.

8 / 10.0 - NHL 21
Oct 25, 2020

Whilst the gameplay changes and additions to the game modes are welcomed, NHL 21 feels more like an update than a brand new game.

6 / 10.0 - The Survivalists
Oct 25, 2020

The Survivalists is the latest in a crowded genre. Bright visuals can't hide that it is a fairly light experience at present, but there is some enjoyment to be had if you can look past the slightly uncomfortable sub-text of its central mechanic.

8.5 / 10.0 - Horace
Oct 22, 2020

A genre shifting game packed full of charm and references, Horace is a robotic adventure that must be experienced to be believed.

Oct 21, 2020

Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit feels like magic. It's expensive to play multiplayer, but if your imagination (and house) is big enough, there's plenty of fun on offer.

8 / 10.0 - Genshin Impact
Oct 21, 2020

With a dense open world inspired by Breath of the Wild, Genshin Impact provides hours of free entertainment with its rich combat and deep RPG systems.

8.5 / 10.0 - ScourgeBringer
Oct 19, 2020

For fans of the genre, ScourgeBringer is an absolute must-play though, if only because it offers such a steep challenge to accompany those lovely, lovely visuals. It may not be the most original concept, but what it does it does very well.
