Aquanox: Deep Descent is an enjoyable blaster that will keep you engaged for the time it takes to get through the story. The multiplayer modes feel a bit bolted-on, but the deep-sea environments are top-notch, the story is functional if not thrilling, and the shooting feels satisfying throughout.

Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition is a great remake, packing in loads of new content and addressing some issues that other developers might simply have swept under the rug.

Mindseize has great combat and weapon variety, but the uninspired movement abilities and a plethora of bugs make it hard to recommend among its peers

Ikenfell is an enjoyable RPG with an interesting story, fleshed-out characters, and a dense turn-based battle system, with a superb soundtrack and some gorgeous environments to boot.

Partisans 1941 is a very good game in its own right, though it comes a little too close to imitating its inspiration. But if you can look past that, tactics fans will have a blast.

Worm Jazz is a simple puzzle game with a laid back Jazz attitude, perfect for engaging your brain with as little added stress as possible

Cake Bash is a delicious party game to play with friends locally or online. With a nice variety of mini games and unique decoration shopping it's well worth chowing down on.

This is the Zodiac Speaking has interesting ideas, but is ultimately a dull slog through a poorly-told story.

I Am Dead does a fantastic job of forcing us to look at our lives, and reminds us that those who are gone are still alive in the memories we hold dear. The puzzles are fun, and the island of Shelmerston is beautiful.

Whilst it is only solitaire, Bithell Games has managed to put a fresh take on an old classic. The Solitaire Conspiracy is addictive, and it oozes style in every game.

It may have issues, but in RIDE 4, Milestone has finally created the two-wheeled Gran Turismo that fans have always wanted.

Alwa's Legacy is a pleasant little game that does a lot of things right, but nothing spectacularly. It's fun, if a little forgettable.

A charming adventure in a unique Norwegian setting, Embracelet is a delightful coming of age story full of magic, mystery and friendship.

Georifters is fun with friends, but it's slow pace and rough character models mean it just can't hang in a crowded cooperative marketplace.

Star Wars: Squadrons is an excellent aerial combat game and a pleasing return to the franchise roots. No gimmicks, no cons, no messing around: anyone who ever dreamed of being a fighter pilot in the Star Wars universe needs to check this out, asap.

Full of colour, humour, and challenge, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is a storming return and a great follow up to the original trilogy.
