Steins;Gate Elite takes the best of the anime and visual novel source material to create a superb visual novel adventure experience that is a must play for newcomers to the genre and fans of the original visual novel.

Degrees of Separation is a beautiful puzzle game with a lovely story of a couple with conflicting backgrounds just trying to be together but is let down by a large amount of monotonous scarf collecting and various bugs.

7.5 / 10.0 - Crackdown 3
Feb 14, 2019

Loud, brash and gleefully addictive at times, Crackdown 3 is unashamedly fun, even if it does feel more like a remake than a sequel.

Whilst Far Cry New Dawn isn't a completely new experience, it does have a few features that give it new life, and despite the bugs and weak story, it was nice revisiting Hope County.

7 / 10.0 - Metro Exodus
Feb 13, 2019

Metro Exodus feels like a game where its ambitions slightly outstrip its abilities. Visually stunning, it suffers a little too much from an obtuse system of storytelling and maps that are slightly too large creating long periods of doing nothing.

8.5 / 10.0 - God Eater 3
Feb 6, 2019

God Eater 3 does enough to push the franchise forward with new mechanics, improved visuals, and slick animations but is held back a little by annoying camera angles and some poor environments.

Broken Toys is a superbly written episode, with visuals being some of the best the series has ever seen.

7.5 / 10.0 - Kingdom Hearts III
Feb 4, 2019

The final game in the series goes out with more of a whimper than a bang, but there's still plenty of heart, and the combat never fails to entertain. There're some wonderful visuals and plenty of Disney surprises, and although the story is a mess when it strays into the series' lore, it's still fun.

A lovely little diversion for the wolf brothers finds their biggest problem not to be the law, but inconsistencies in their own animation.

6.5 / 10.0 - Genesis Alpha One
Jan 30, 2019

By trying to be all things to all people Genesis Alpha One loses any sense of identity. There is some really interesting ideas at work, and cool aesthetic in one portion of the game, but other areas feel underdeveloped.

9.5 / 10.0 - Wargroove
Jan 30, 2019

Wargroove is one of the best games I've played on the Switch and the perfect tactical game to get deep into while waiting for Fire Emblem Three Houses.

While When Ski Lifts Go Wrong can be laugh-out-loud funny, it also provides a huge number of challenging puzzles as you try (and often fail) to build reliable structures on unforgiving mountainsides.

7.5 / 10.0 - Pikuniku

Pikuniku is quirky, funny and more than a little bit mad, all adding up to a short-but-sweet, colourful platform adventure.

5 / 10.0 - Forever Forest

Forever Forest looks and sounds nice, but that unfortunately masks a game with performance issues and repetitive gameplay that will put many people off.

Resident Evil 2 drags an all-time classic horror game screaming into the new generation, and will terrify both fans and newcomers alike

6.5 / 10.0 - Double Cross

Definitely not the best game, but definitely not the worst, at least you wouldn't wind up being doubly cross after playing this.

Shadow Heritage is slightly more fun to play than Hunted was, but some weird narrative decisions undo a lot of the character progression from the main campaign and totally expose the illusion of player choice
