9 / 10.0 - FIFA 15
Sep 23, 2014

FIFA 15 feels like it introduces less innovative elements than last year's installment, but the development team at EA Sports knows what its audience wants and manages to improve the core gameplay and the presentation in interesting ways.

8 / 10.0 - Destiny
Sep 16, 2014

Destiny is a great-handling first-person shooter that manages to seamlessly weave multiplayer elements into its campaign. Bungie has managed to craft plenty of great mechanics for the new game, as well as allow for player expression through the RPG skills and customization system.

9.5 / 10.0 - Velocity 2X
Sep 11, 2014

Velocity 2X is a stellar 2D shooter that blends all sorts of different mechanics in a successful manner. Throw in the gorgeous visuals, the smooth framerate, and the imaginative design, and you have a winner. Sure, the controls take some getting used to and getting high scores requires dedication, but that doesn't weigh the game down all that much.

Hatoful Boyfriend is at times barely a full video game, but at the same time, this is an experience that would be impossible to integrate into any other medium.

6 / 10.0 - Back to Bed
Sep 6, 2014

Back to Bed is yet another indie video game that comes off as refreshing and brilliant at first, only to succumb a short while later at the hands of poor execution and limited overall vision.

7.5 / 10.0 - Train Fever
Sep 4, 2014

Train Fever is a good game for the passionate crowd and, If I did not have to deal with bigger releases, I could see myself spending more time with it in order to see exactly how higher ground can be negotiated and to make perfect sense of the way goods and city needs interact with one another.

8 / 10.0 - The Sims 4
Sep 3, 2014

The Sims 4 is a fun experience that certainly takes great steps in improving the core mechanics of the series. The Create-A-Sim and Build Mode systems are much more accessible yet offer a lot of depth for those that desire it. Sims are smart, can multitask, and interact in lots of nifty ways. However, there are still plenty of missing core items while the existing set of options are limited, to say the least, no doubt to ensure that the upcoming expansions bring lots of highly desirable things.

6.5 / 10.0 - The Golf Club
Sep 2, 2014

The Golf Club can be a good investment for purists and the editor is a great piece of work, but this is also a game that lacks attention to details at times and suffers because of that.

Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition is a great translation of the core RPG dungeon crawler experience for consoles. While, of course, the PC edition reigns supreme, the PS4 and Xbox One versions aren't that far behind, especially when playing with friends cooperatively, either locally or online.

7 / 10.0 - Shadowgate

In addition to torches, you'll collect a vast assortment of items, from weapons and armor to seemingly useless trinkets, bones, and even magic spells, that you can then use on the few hotspots in each room trying to get further into the game.

Usually, I do a Good and Bad summary at the end of the reviews, but I can't remember the last time I had so much fun with an adventure game. Yes, there are some minor issues and sometimes you find yourself combing the screen for items to interact with, but the overall feeling you have after The Journey Down: Chapter Two leaves me with no doubt that I'm playing a great game.

Nonetheless, this is a good way for fans of The Walking Dead to get past the fact that the second season is ending and to pass the time until 2015, when a new episodic game series will be launched.

The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 5: No Going Back brings some serious choices right at its end, and depending on what players want, wildly different fates for Clementine. However, it still has some annoying situations that can't be avoided and players are still unable to do certain things during the actual story.

7 / 10.0 - Cloud Chamber
Aug 25, 2014

Now, the best thing that Cloud Chamber has going for it is that there is nothing quite like it out there right now, and it can comfortably score points on novelty alone, without having to actually put any kind of effort into it.

In spite of its somewhat inept systems, Risen 3 has a certain sense of adventure around it, that will pull you in and make you endure the atrocious combat and some of the misgivings about the dialogue in order to explore its tropical islands, hoist the Jolly Roger and see what else it has to offer.

The Last of Us Remastered is definitely worth your money on the PS4, particularly if you haven't experienced it on the PS3. Don't, however, expect that big of a difference from the PS3 edition. Sure, the better textures and the 60fps framerate offer drastic improvements, but there are still downsides, from the aliasing to the AI problems.

9 / 10.0 - Madden NFL 15
Aug 20, 2014

Madden NFL 15 is a great game for fans of the sport it is depicting and there's no reason for a player who picked up last year's version of the title to skip on the one that is now arriving in stores.

5.5 / 10.0 - Sacred 3
Aug 16, 2014

There is no point in comparing Sacred 3 to either of the two previous games in the series, as it unfortunately shares nothing with them. It just feels like a scam meant to chip some money from careless nostalgic gamers, much like shoving dirt into a jar and labeling it "grandma's peach jam."

8 / 10.0 - Road Not Taken
Aug 7, 2014

Road Not Taken might not have too much in common with the Frost-written poem with which it shares a name, but it does manage to deliver a meditation on the value of choices and the importance of making the right ones, while also offering the player a complex layer of actual game mechanics to explore.

8 / 10.0 - Pure Pool
Aug 6, 2014

The attention to detail and the graphics of the game make it a solid entry in the genre, but the title also suffers from some issues when it comes to the control players have over their shots and the way the PC port works.
