Ni no Kuni II is one of those games that delivers a positive vibe not just through gameplay, but deeper stories, solid characters, as well as outstanding visuals and soundtrack. Moreover, it comes with fresh ideas that make it more engaging and fun, something that we rarely get these days from major franchises.

8 / 10.0 - Lost Sphear
Mar 9, 2018

What I can tell you is that I have definitely enjoyed my time playing Lost Sphear and I'm already thinking if Square Enix is considering a sequel. Even though I feel that Tokyo RPG Factory focuses too much on trying to apply the Chrono Trigger formula to their new game, I still believe that Lost Sphear is a step in the right direction.

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet can become boring quite fast due to its repetitive encounters and unevenly paced story, something that could have been easily avoided. The good news is SAO fans will find it a breath of fresh air, since Fatal Bullet plays and feels different than the previous games.

I can't recommend Monster Hunter: World enough to anyone who's after possible GOTY games. It's not just the best Monster Hunter game to date, I'm pretty sure it's one of the best titles of the year, and that's a big achievement for CAPCOM and this particular franchise mostly known in Japan.

Perhaps if the next games were to head to a completely different directions, I would try another Seven Deadly Sins game, but until then, I can't recommend it to anyone who's already seen the anime series.

Dragon Ball FighterZ truly is one of the best fighting games made in a long time hands down, so I'd suggest anyone who's into the genre get it sooner rather than later.

Overall, I found the new Shadow of the Colossus a pleasant journey peppered with some frustrating moments, especially when battling the colossi. If you can get passed that, Shadow of the Colossus can offer some epic moments and a beautiful world to explore.

Of course, if you're playing these games for the story above all else, Hacker's Memory will certainly reward you. One other thing that I consider a great move from Bandai Namco is making Hacker's Memory a completely standalone game with little to do with the previous title. That means that newcomers to the series will not feel confused because they didn't play Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth.

Seeing how Bungie approached the Destiny 2 expansion matter, I have low expectations from the next DLC that should arrive in the coming months and you should too.

On the other hand, the loot boxes won't stop me from replaying this game at least one more time, and to go through all of the expansions. I'm inevitably drawn to it, and I have to say that at least for me, the presence of loot boxes is not enough to stop me from enjoying it, probably much more than it should.

The community was not expecting this kind of quality from the franchise, especially after the declining trend of the previous titles, but it's definitely a nice surprise and worth checking out, especially if you're a PC gamer.

Assassin's Creed: Origins is far from being a bad game, but fails to achieve greatness as well. If Ubisoft would have cut half of the low-quality content, I think we would have gotten a much better game. While there's definitely room for improvement, I strongly believe that the Assassin's Creed franchise took a turn in the right direction.

I can't speak about replayability because you're not going to uninstall it anytime soon. People are going to play it over and over again, with no end in sight. Surprisingly, the goal of Forza Motorsport 7 is not to win but to get credits to buy cars. If you don't mind the presence of microtransactions, and you convince yourself that you can grind away for credits, you're going to love Forza Motorsport 7.

I can't recommend it enough, and I urge everyone to give it a try because it's the kind of title that can provide a lot of fun, even if you are a fan of other similar football sims. And you can't get better praise than that.

8 / 10.0 - Destiny 2
Sep 27, 2017

First and foremost, Destiny 2 does not frustrate players by placing parts of the end game under hard to achieve power level requirements. There's plenty of loot to gain and, more importantly, you're actually having fun while obtaining it.

I just hope that we won't have to wait too long for another Uncharted game comes out, though I have the feeling that Naughty Dog has a couple of aces under the sleeve, which will probably make us forget that there was once a treasure hunter by the name of Nathan Drake.

All in all, I can't understand the point of StarCraft: Remastered. I see that it's much prettier, and people with high-res displays will be able to run it in all its glory. The problem is that there is no real glory, and the one that's left exists only in the minds of the people that played the original. It's not a particularly bad remastering of a cult game, but it's almost futile.

With each new Hearthstone expansion, Blizzard has outdone itself, and Knights of the Frozen Throne is no exception to the rule. I can't wait to see what's next for Hearthstone and its very strong community.

Steel Division: Normandy 44 will challenge players in a way that's not achieved by other titles. It might not have the brightest AI or the most balanced multiplayer, but it's more than enough to reveal an important fact. We haven't been playing strategy games before; they were just some hollow mock-ups.

9.5 / 10.0 - Tekken 7
Jun 21, 2017

Tekken 7 is here and I can only imagine it getting better. What's even more exciting is that it gave me and most of the other players, a new reason to memorize gamepad combinations, and to find new ways to humiliate our friends. And I know that I can't ask for anything more than that.
