3.5 / 5.0 - Poly Bridge
Jul 7, 2016

While not exactly one of the best simulation games out there, Poly Bridge still manages to be quite unique and enjoyable, and easily has enough content to satisfy players for quite a while.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is a commendable coming together of three game franchises that have captured the hearts of JRPG fans since their inception.

3 / 5.0 - Furi
Jul 5, 2016

If Furi had another month or two in the oven to tighten up its parry system and clean up some of the issues with its interactive cutscenes, then it could be a shining entry in a year loaded with lovable indie darlings.

One Piece: Burning Blood is one of those middle of the road games that makes game reviewers weep. The fun of praising or decimating a title stolen away without so much as a cheeky card. The game itself does work as an introduction to the series, giving the briefest of glimpses as to why it's so popular, and piling on the fan service with countless playable and support characters. Neither good nor bad, it exists. That will be enough for many fans.

On top of the fun gameplay, the art direction is a great stylized approach to incorporating the Voodoo influence and Alistar Lindsay's soundtrack fits the style perfectly.

Outlands doesn’t change anything up in a meaningful way, doesn’t find a way to mix its two distinct styles of gameplay into something altogether more fun and doesn’t even fix the original game’s unfortunate frame rate issues. In every sense of it, Outlands is just “more TRON RUN/r.” That’s too bad, but it’s also not the worst thing to be.

4 / 5.0 - OZMAFIA!!
Jun 29, 2016

OZMAFIA!! is a surprising release from MangaGamer. Not only it is an otome title, but it is their very first in the genre. Despite that, they picked a powerhouse of a game to start out with. With outrageously good looking graphics (and, of course, men) and copious endings, there are hours upon hours of storytelling just waiting to be explored.

2.5 / 5.0 - Mighty No. 9
Jun 23, 2016

The phrase that best describes Keiji Inafune's infamous spiritual successor to the classic action-platforming franchise is "aggressively mediocre." In fact, Mighty No. 9 is such an average video game that reviewers could give future mediocre games a Mighty No. 9 out of ten and it would serve as a perfect indication of their quality.

While it ends up feeling a bit like the weakest game in the series so far, even a weak Zero Escape game is still an absolute delight, and Zero Time Dilemma is no exception.
