Nostalgia with a visual upgrade but gameplay stagnation.
Too many role-playing games are let down by average or mediocre combat - Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen isn't one of them.
If you enjoyed Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China and hankering for more of the same, then India definitely delivers on that level and if you missed the previous game but enjoy some classic platforming with a next-gen twist, this is definitely a title you should check out. The gameplay is sturdy, the graphics mirror painted art and audio create an enjoyable adventure (albeit short) through another part of the Assassin's Creed franchise. In terms of replay value and once you've completed the main game, the title does give the player more challenging modes to complete the game again and fine-tune your assassin skills.
Although King's Quest Chapter 2 – Rubble Without A Cause is lacking the wonder of the first episode, it did have some nice moments such as old King Graham and his grandchildren plus some very nice graphics as he explores the labyrinth of the Goblins. I'm really looking forward to see how the next episode pans out, particularly with the character development of Graham.
Overall, the game is not "terrible" but it just isn't for me, Game of Thrones fell short….The Walking Dead from the same company was much better due to the well-executed storyline that is used in the game. Game of Thrones has great voice acting, which was the only thing that caught my eye, but again there were too many flaws that just didn't appeal to me as much. If you are the fan of the series, whether you read the novels, watch the TV show, or both, I highly encourage you to play this game, if you have not read or watch either, do not expect this game to peak your interest in the series as it did not do the same for me, but I just don't believe that anyone who has no knowledge of this series will enjoy the game.
Rainbow Six: Siege has a lot of enjoyment to offer but it's hamstrung in some ways by a lack of variety. With only three gameplay modes on offer – one of them barely qualifying- and 11 maps at launch, I imagine that things could get stale pretty quickly despite the dynamic quality of the Siege multiplayer matches.
Massive open-world JRPG with astounding exploration but some pacing and storyline issues.
Yo-Kai Watch is no Pokémon clone but rather its own unique game that gives the player a sturdy combat system with some great Japanese RPG elements thrown into the mix. It's also a well-designed game that really allows you to explore this colourful world as you solve quests and discover new Yo-Kai for your collection.
Just Cause 3 is over-the-top, dumb fun, and incredibly beautiful to boot—when it all eventually loads, of course.
Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star is a click your way through several absurd, linear stories about pigeons.
Shows traditional challenges found common in retro shoot 'em up side scrolling games are still a blast to play.
Coast Guard is strongest when it is doing ship operations and after that, it tends to get bogged down in a quagmire of oddity.
Whether choosing to play it in random or chronological order, neither of these options make it a compelling story.
Dysentery is the least of your concerns.
Personally I think that The Crew is underrated and Wild Run simply adds more content to what is already a pretty solid package.
The Old Hunters effectively enriches what was already an astoundingly accomplished title, offering up a wealth of new challenges for returning players to overcome. Journeying through the environments and watching a battle between blood lusting Hunters and cowering beasts is an amazing sight to behold and the selection of new enemies rank up there with the game's very best. Sure, some of the areas and enemies are reused from the base game but From have added enough of a spin upon them that they somehow feel fresh and new.
Somewhere in this package lies a great game with plenty of excitement to offer- it just has a hard time presenting itself. Is it fun? Of course it is. With enough time and dedication, not only would you be able to master the game and its controls, but also have experienced one of those rare feelings of complete satisfaction just for having played the game. It also depends on your own tastes. Some would say that the best version of the game is the original Wii version, which is only available exclusively with the launch version of the retail game. I can't say that for myself, having only played the Wii U release, but if you're interested in Rodea the Sky Soldier, keep a sharp eye out for the retail version.
Football Manager 2016 makes accessing the more complex features easier: it's both deeper and more user friendly.
Chibi-Robo Zip Lash may not be the most original game of 2015 but it gives the player an honest arcade experience with a fun protagonist and some old-school gaming mechanics with a few twists and challenges to be found along the way. To borrow an element from the song by Devo "I say whip it… Whip it Good!"
Primal Carnage: Extinction doesn't overly satisfy, but it at least gives you the opportunity to take control of a selection of legendary dinosaurs. There's not much depth to be found, and although it is not a terrible game, there's only enough here to hold your attention for a few hours or so. Unfortunately, this one is just another entry into the already well stocked pile of mediocre dinosaur games.
