2.3 / 5.0 - On Your Tail
Mar 17, 2025

On Your Tail is a refreshing game in the mammoth sea of what you normally see out in the wild west of gaming. You can easily tell that On Your Tail is a well thought out game filled with purpose and ambition. The games' fully explored ideas and established implementation of its mechanics effortlessly sells you on its intentions. The great graphics, character designs, and other elements of the gameplay like going on dates, delivering mail, making phone calls, collecting artwork, solving riddles, and finding hidden star constellations create a game with a lot of merit. Sadly, the Switch version is just not worth anyone's time due to uncompromisable issues that completely halt your experience making this game frustratingly unsatisfying.

All in all, Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land introduces many great concepts and features but fails to be wholly entertaining. It contains unnecessarily tedious features and awful performance that will hopefully be fixed post-launch.

Path of Fury is a very active game that will give you a serious workout given that the game is all about patience and perseverance. You can't go into it randomly punching; you need to be accurate and agile. The game takes full advantage of large playing spaces since you need to turn around and fully extend your arms if you want to use the game's mechanics properly. When the game works, it works really well, with you feeling like a martial arts master. When the game doesn't work due to odd inconsistencies with character placement, it is discouraging and can feel like an idle endeavor. This arcade-like game is snappy and flows deftly and while this is just episode 1, there is plenty of content here to mess around with. If you are a fan of action flicks or old-school martial arts movies, then picking up Path of Fury – Episode 1: Tetsuo's Tower is a no brainer.

Monster Hunter Wilds has introduced enough new things to the formula to make it feel like a sequel rather than the same game with a new coat of paint. The few minor annoyances I had with the game like the audio mixing or the fact that the colour palette is very muted and subdued, are all offset by how vast and complex a game it is.

Sorry We're Closed is a well polished game. Overall, the combat is very precise and incredibly addicting. The horror element of having to be alert at all times and the back and forth of the fighting feels clever and creates a nice gameplay loop that keeps you on your toes. The multiple uses of the third eye ability is innovative and really opens up Sorry We're Closed to be its own unique beast. Getting good ratings through skill or fortuitously feels rewarding and makes you want to be more competent. The game is wonderfully paced and just feels immensely fresh. A rich world, complex and amusing characters, and a smart narrative produce a very entertaining experience. Open up your third eye and dive into this devilishly divine time!

Overall I found Two Point Museum an absorbing delight, and it was only improved for the areas in which it differed from my halcyon days of school with Theme Hospital. My biggest concern is limiting how much time I spend playing this game – and how many ways can I really present the same exhibits… 5 / 5 stars.

As well as being a captivating and addictive strategy-come-city-builder, it’s a game full of surprises, but perhaps most importantly, a game that exudes sheer joy. It’s the perfect addition to any genre fan’s catalogue, but most importantly, it’s an excellent gateway for anyone looking to dabble in the city-building genre.

The decision to put Majima in the captain’s chair is inspired and has allowed the team at Ryu Ga Gotoku to create one of the most unique and off-the-will games in the long-running series. Much like its beloved lead, Pirate Yakuxa in Hawaii is a little crazy, a little random, but incredibly charming.

Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip is a very special game. The simple outline of the story is entertaining and the way the game goes about telling it with its jarring obtuse jokes is unique. The blank stares of the characters and chaotic manner of events create a creative and impactful experience. An unruly camera and dreadful framerate seem minuscule in the presence of superb and effective gameplay. Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip draws you in with its novelty and silliness, but holds you with its charm and joyous disposition, making this high-speed trip with the adorable Terry a noteworthy adventure that all should partake in.
