Plenty of players and fans are hyped for the release of Fallout 4, but this is the first game of the franchise that I've played. Yes, I'm a Fallout virgin but Fallout 4 has shown me the light.
It might only be April but we wouldn't hesitate to say Dark Souls 3 is going to be one of 2016's top releases.
Persona 5 isn't just the best game I've played this year, it's the best game I've played in years. And I can't wait to do it all again.
Guitar Hero Live brings a lot of new things to the music rhythm genre of video game and everything elevates the latest installment to "classic" status.
Overall, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a must-own game for fans and non-fans of the franchise, especially if you're planning to get a Nintendo Switch. Its huge open world and engaging story gives the title an epic scale that hasn't been seen in a Nintendo game for quite some time.
The Pokémon Company has another successful spin-off. Pokkén Tournament is the best fighting game of 2016 so far.
The first Episode of the rebooted King's Quest franchise is great for new and old fans alike
Shadowrun: Hong Kong improves upon a nearly-perfect RPG formula to deliver new action to old fans while keeping things accessible for new ones, too.
You seriously need to play Firewatch. It's a five-star game, and an experience I will remember for a long, long time. Now that there's been a release on Xbox One, nobody has an excuse to miss out.
Yo-Kai Watch is an amazing first game of a hopefully long series and you'll want to pick it up immediately and hop on the Yo-Kai Watch hype train.
King's Quest Chapter 3: Once Upon A Climb is filled with a lot of laughs and heart
With Fallout 4 ending development now that Nuka-World is out, it’s good to see it going out on a high note. While the ending may drag for a bit, getting to explore all the hidden wonders of Nuka-World is some of the finest gaming Fallout 4 has to offer.
There are already too many titles vying for gamers' attention, and it's only March, but I'd make damn sure NieR: Automata isn't one of the games you miss this year.
Overall, Injustice 2 is one of the best fighting game in terms of content and actual fighting that I've every played.
The Nintendo Switch title has slick controls, amazing visuals and a charm (there's that word again) that I haven't come across before. The story is simple but supplemented with a large cast of new characters and worlds that expand the Mario Universe in a way that, hopefully, Nintendo can expand on for years to come. It's accessible for younger players and challenging enough for veterans.
Shadow of the Colossus on PS4 is the definitive version, perfectly recreating gameplay with stunning new visuals.
Overall, Rise and Fall doesn't address any particular issues in early, late or mid-game, so any problems you have with those points in the game remain. Instead, Rise and Fall adds a framework to your game that makes it more comprehensible and more your own than ever before.
If I ever find myself in my own closed time-loop, I’d wish for me to play the Outer Wilds, but with the added bonus of forgetting about it, just so I can experience it all over again. It’s that good, and the first true title that I could say is a 'must-play' for 2019.
Card collecting games are a dime a dozen but Age of Rivals brings a depth of strategy that makes every match played unique.
Pets in Sims 4 are a measure to the franchise's potential.
