Hitman Episode 2: Sapienza is a great addition to the game. It features an expansive town to explore, is genuinely challenging, and has a lot of unique kill opportunities and secrets to discover. It is a wonderful playground for Hitman fans.
When all is said and done, Gears of War 4 is an excellent follow up to the Gears of War trilogy on Xbox 360. Whether you’re a returning Gear or a brand new recruit, Gears of War 4 is perfect for both of you.
Overall, the multiplayer mode is a step down from the original Titanfall, but the controls are still the best of anything on the market right now. On the other hand, the campaign is an incredible and empowering experience that absolutely everyone should try. Ultimately, Titanfall 2 is an excellent package, even if the multiplayer is somewhat of a letdown.
Although Dishonored 2 didn’t feel quite as open-world and non-linear as we were hoping for, it still provided plenty of reasons to play through the game more than once, if not several times.
Ubisoft’s particular style of open world game, which is a genre of its own nowadays, has never been as well done as it is in Watch Dogs 2, and it’s clear that, as the company continues to iterate on the formula it started off with in the original Assassin’s Creed, it’s getting very good at making them.
Overall, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition is just as enjoyable an experience as it was five years ago, however, it hasn’t received a full touch up for current generation consoles.

Overall, if you’re happy to sit down and have a good read, Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness is an extremely well-told story with an incredibly well-written antagonist. The lack of animation and interactivity will be off-putting for some, but if you can look past that you’re in for an engrossing experience that moulds itself around your choices.
It’s true, Resident Evil VII does feel like a magpie – snatching little bits and pieces that catch its eye from horror games across the past decade. Throughout the game, you’ll see chunks from Amnesia, Outlast, P.T., Silent Hill 2, F.E.A.R, and more. But, despite this patchwork, there is one game it feels like most of all – Resident Evil. REVII gets the roots of the series right, and it’s the scariest RE game we’ve played in years, and also the most substantial VR experience money can buy for PlayStation VR.
Tumblestone is an enjoyable puzzle game which has a unique take on the Match-Three puzzle genre. There are a lot of unwritten rules and strategies to discover, along with plenty of content including a single-player mode, online and local multiplayer, and an Arcade mode.
By narrowing their focus, Double Fine have crafted probably their most cohesive and mechanically sound game to date, one that takes its gimmicky concept and executes it to perfection.
If you’re interested in 2D platformers or want to try out a unique new game, I highly suggest jumping on Shantae: Half-Genie Hero.
From prisoner prosecutors to astronaut defendants, the Ace Attorney series has built a reputation on turning legal proceedings into over-the-top battles for the truth. You’d think after five games, three spinoffs (two of which we’re unlikely to see in the West) and one crossover, every possible plotline would be played out, but the writers behind Ace Attorney just keep coming up with new scenarios, new gimmicks and new memorable characters. In fact, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice proves the franchise still has a lot of life in it yet, and ranks among its best entries.
The attention to detail in Yakuza 0 is nothing short of amazing, and it really is a fun game to just wander around in. Whether it’s the narrow alleys full of signage or the neat neon-lit streets, Yakuza 0 at its core is what Japan is all about.
Dodonpachi Resurrection is an excellent bullet hell shooter that will only feel like a step back for the series if you’re familiar with Dodonpachi DaiOuJou.
If a third-person tactical shooter with a range of difficulties, different ways to play, co-op options and lengthy open-world missions sounds like something up your alley but you haven’t ventured into the Sniper Elite universe yet, go ahead and give it a crack.
While it took a while to realise IO Interactive’s vision, Hitman Season One is an outstanding achievement and revitalises the series. There is a lot replayability thanks to the Contract, Elusive Target and Escalation modes, the levels are varied and encourage exploration, and constant title updates have ensured a smoother overall experience.
With a robust roster, challenging and technical gameplay that’s also accessible to newcomers, and plenty of content to keep you occupied both online and offline, Tekken 7 is an easy pick if you’re after a new fighting game to master.
However, what Bridge Crew does succeed in creating is the sense of teamwork and camaraderie that all Star Trek shares. It feels like the next evolution of a Dungeons & Dragons campaign, or a virtual reality LARP.
I should know better at this point than to doubt the talent of Double Fine and Tim Schafer, as within minutes of slipping on my PlayStation VR headset to play The Rhombus of Ruin, it all came flooding back to me.
