Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a remarkable addition to the JRPG genre that serves as a bridge between the past and the present, offering a game that is both familiar and innovative. If you’re a fan of the genre or the old Suikoden games, then this game is a journey worth taking, filled with adventure, strategy, and a story that captures the imagination, but just know that it stakes its roots a little too much in nostalgia.

While the fighting and combat aren’t the worst, in an era where players expect value from their purchases, Samurai Warriors 4 DX falls short, offering little beyond its initial premise. While the game may hold nostalgic appeal for fans of the series, it makes it difficult to recommend as a worthwhile addition to the modern PC gaming library, and if you wanna play the game, it’s probably a better idea to pick up the non-deluxe 2014 version used as it’s the same experience anyways.

Little Kitty, Big City is simple unlike other recent cat games to come out such as Stray, but sometimes simplicity makes for the best there is, especially when it’s as cute as can be . From its captivating art style to its endearing storyline, Little Kitty, Big City has all the elements that make for an unforgettable gaming experience. The game’s ability to blend humor, adventure, and heartwarming moments into a seamless and engaging package is a testament to the developers’ creativity and dedication. It is a perfect example of how indie games can offer rich, immersive experiences that rival those of major studio releases.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Sweep the Board successfully bridges the gap between the captivating world of the anime and the interactive realm of gaming. While it may draw comparisons to other board game adaptations like Mario Party, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Sweep the Board distinguishes itself with its meticulous attention to detail, engrossing narrative, and strategic depth, and set’s it apart.

6.5 / 10.0 - Sand Land
May 13, 2024

Sand Land is primarily a story-driven base-building game with vehicle exploration elements. While quests and storyline add enjoyment, the game’s main focus feels like a grind due to repetitive dialogues and similar tasks. Despite this, it offers a somewhat enjoyable experience for those who appreciate abundant side quests and repetition.

9 / 10.0 - Manor Lords
May 13, 2024

Manor Lords stands as a shining example of the potential within indie game development that puts many triple A projects to shame. Keep in mind that it’s still in Early Access too, meaning the game will only get better from here on out. It’s an experience that respects its roots in history while providing a platform for strategic creativity. I’ve never been so immersed into a game about building cities and commanding troops, but being the lord of my manor allows me to weave my own stories of medieval life.

While the Souls-like genre, epitomized by titles such as Dark Souls, Elden Ring, and Bloodborne, is renowned for its punishing difficulty and dark atmosphere, it’s not a style that resonates with everyone such as myself. However, Another Crab’s Treasure has managed to take the essence of what makes these games compelling—the intricate combat, the deep lore, and the rewarding sense of accomplishment—and transplant it into a world that’s both more inviting and less stressful. The game’s charming aesthetics, coupled with its environmental storytelling, create an experience that’s engaging without being overwhelming, for someone who typically shies away from the Souls-like genre.

Indika offers players a captivating experience that blends dark wit reminiscent of literary giants like Dostoyevski and Bulgakov with a daring exploration of serious and controversial themes. Delving into topics such as religion, authority, and identity, the game fearlessly challenges the norms of the gaming industry. Its bold approach provokes thought and invites players to reconsider conventional expectations. In doing so, Indika delivers a unique and refreshing gaming experience that leaves a lasting impression.

5.5 / 10.0 - Shadow of the Depth
May 1, 2024

Shadow of the Depth shows promise amidst its early access voyage, but it’s navigating through murky waters. The addition of new characters and weapons holds potential, but a clearer roadmap is essential to steer the game in the right direction. 8 / 10.0 - Planet Zoo
Apr 27, 2024

Owning your own zoo and having a high level of control makes the experience immersive. You decide the animals, environment, and attractions that visitors get to experience. Managing the selection process and going through the tutorial is tough on a console. The learning curve is also high; trial-by-fire isn’t a reliable method. But if you ever want to make your own zoo a reality, there’s no game better than this.

The Forgotten Kingdom is yet another iteration of standard DLCs for Remnant 2. It’s not fantastic or groundbreaking, but it’s not bad either. If you’re looking for something more substantial, or like most other players, an entirely new world, you won’t find it here. But if you’re looking for more loot to acquire, puzzles to solve, and baddies to kill, this one will get the job done.
