For me, the DreadOut Remastered Collection was a creepy, unsettling experience that left a lasting impression. The ghosts and their ties to Indonesian folklore will no doubt cause me a few sleepless nights, and even though some parts of the game tested my patience, I’m glad I stuck with it. The biggest question though is…am I still afraid of pale creepy ghosts, you bet your life I am!!
Dynasty Warriors Origins is a triumph of the hack-and-slash genre, offering newcomers and veterans alike a thrilling journey through ancient China’s legendary battles. Its combination of stunning visuals, deeply satisfying combat, and meaningful progression systems creates an experience that’s hard to put down. Despite its occasional narrative hiccups and occasional pacing issues, it stands as a shining example of what the franchise can achieve. Whether you’re a long time fan or a curious newcomer like me, this is a journey worth taking. Just be prepared to lose yourself in a sea of names, faces, and epic battles. Oh, and you’re going to have to slay somewhere in the ballpark of half a million soldiers….so get to work!
FAIRY TAIL 2 successfully builds on the foundation of its predecessor, delivering an experience that feels both familiar and fresh. The blend of beloved storylines and new content, coupled with dynamic gameplay and expansive customization, makes it a must-play for fans of the series and RPG enthusiasts alike. Ys Memoire: The Oath of Felghana is an excellent experience. It is easy to see why so many rate this as one of the best Ys games of the series. There is a lot to enjoy through the game with multiple tiers of difficulty, and challenging boss fights, and it is rather streamlined. Unlike the later entries which tend to be around 30+ hours, Oath is around 10-11 hours on normal difficulty which actually felt like the perfect amount of time for this type of game. Long enough to be engaging and provide new aspects to the game without overstaying its welcome and feeling repetitive.
Extreme sports games have always thrived on their ability to make players feel like absolute legends. LEGENDS BMX embraces this mantra with its energetic gameplay and slick presentation, delivering a rush of adrenaline for BMX enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Whether you’re soaring through the air pulling off jaw-dropping tricks or grinding down rails with sparks flying, this game offers a satisfying balance of accessibility and depth that will keep you coming back for more.
Bridge Constructor Studio is a very enjoyable experience for those who enjoy puzzles and a really easy VR game to introduce to someone new without them feeling any motion sickness. Just like the several other bridge constructors, it's addicting and relaxing to play for countless hours at a time. Clockstone Studio once again makes something so specific, like building bridges, so fun.
Not only is it weird to release a Summer Sports Game in the middle of Winter, but trying to compete with Wii/Switch Sports is a big task, and let’s be honest, while alright, Smoots Summer Games isn’t it, if you really don’t want to spend the money for the first party title, try Deca Sports Instead as you’ll get a much better experience.
Though it’s a well-made entry that perfectly embodies running a fast-food restaurant, Fast Food Simulator may not innovate. Just don’t forget to keep the ice cream machine working!
Backyard Soccer ‘98 on Steam proves that sometimes, less is more. By preserving the original’s lighthearted charm and injecting just enough modern updates, this re-release strikes the perfect balance between nostalgia and accessibility. Whether you’re coaching your dream team in League Play or just enjoying the chaotic fun of a pick-up game, the Backyard Sports magic is alive and well. For returning fans, it’s like dusting off an old trophy and finding it still shines. For new players, it’s a chance to experience why Pablo Sanchez remains a legend in gaming lore. Either way, this is one nostalgic kick that hits the back of the net.
Road Maintenance Simulator 2 stands as a unique and surprisingly satisfying entry in the simulation genre. The Winter Services Update adds a refreshing layer of depth and variety, making it a standout among road maintenance games. While the graphical hiccups, occasional bugs, and technical shortcomings may frustrate some players, the authenticity and rewarding nature of the gameplay more than make up for it—especially for those willing to brave the snowy roads. For fans of simulation games or anyone looking for a unique, oddly calming experience, this is still an alright option.
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered is a nostalgic return to a beloved series. While some elements have aged and the occasional bug dampens the experience, the remaster’s updates breathe fresh life into these classics. For newcomers, it’s a fantastic way to dive into Raziel and Kain’s epic saga, while longtime fans will relish revisiting Nosgoth in enhanced detail. With its mix of timeless storytelling, engaging exploration, and thoughtful updates, this collection is well worth a look for both new and returning players. Let’s hope it paves the way for a new entry in this iconic series.

Glitch Hero offers a charming and memorable adventure, especially for those new to coding. Ada’s journey is packed with laughs, thrills, and meaningful lessons, making it a standout title for players of all ages. While its gameplay graphics could use an upgrade, the witty dialogue, creative puzzles, and compelling story make this game a worthy addition to any library.
The Legend of Legacy HD Remastered successfully polishes an underrated gem, bringing its distinctive gameplay and artistic flair to modern platforms. The revamped visuals and accessibility features make it easier than ever to appreciate the game’s unique charm, while its strategic combat and cartography system remain as captivating as they were in 2015. However, this is more of a faithful restoration than a transformative reimagining. Fans of the original will appreciate the enhancements, but newcomers expecting an extensive overhaul might be left wanting. Still, for those willing to embrace its quirks and dive into the mysteries of Avalon, this remaster offers a timeless RPG experience worth exploring.
Overall, Touhou Spell Carnival turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I wasn’t sure how they would blend bullet-hell mechanics with RPG elements and strike a balance, but they managed to pull it off. Fortunately, the game offers difficulty levels that make it easier to experience the story without getting stuck replaying challenging levels repeatedly. However, for me, the real highlight was embracing the challenge. My enjoyment came from overcoming the difficulty, mastering my characters’ moves and abilities, and optimizing my team composition.
If you can look beyond the occasional performance hiccups on PC and the lingering graphical quirks that continue to be addressed through updates, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is an experience that simply shouldn’t be missed. For the ultimate immersion, a flight stick is highly recommended, but even with a controller, the game delivers an engaging and authentic sense of piloting. Whether you’re soaring through familiar skies or discovering new corners of the globe, this flight sim offers a consistently rewarding journey through the breathtaking expanse of our world.
Overall, Just Dance 2025 Edition meets expectations. While it doesn’t offer anything particularly groundbreaking, it’s a fun party game that will also get you sweating if you’re looking for a good workout.
Codex Lost brings the magic side of Souls-like games to the forefront. The ability to choose your spells and add variety early on leads to creative combat. However, you get even less guidance than other Souls-like games and it’s not always clear what you must do. That makes this a tough game to get into and a tough game to play.
Farming Simulator 25 doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it certainly polishes it to a fine shine, offering a smoother and more refined experience. Whether you’re a newcomer eager to explore the rich world of farming or a seasoned player looking for a low-effort, laid-back game for those late nights, this is the ideal entry point. With the option to share the experience through multiplayer or enjoy the tranquility of solo play, Farming Simulator 25 delivers a relaxing and rewarding journey, no matter how you choose to tend your fields.
Goblin Slayer Another Adventurer: Nightmare Feast delivers a solid tactical RPG experience. It achieves what it sets out to do, offering an engaging, albeit straightforward, story. Fans of the Goblin Slayer franchise will likely appreciate the narrative and character interactions more than newcomers, as familiarity with the source material enhances the experience.
