6 / 10.0 - Supermoves
Sep 8, 2024

Supermoves ultimately feels like a souped-up version of Fall Guys with fancier parkour mechanics. The game struggles to carve out a unique identity, lacking that extra dose of charm or creativity that would make it truly stand out. Though it offers more complex movement options, it doesn’t quite capture the same whimsical fun, and energetic vibe that makes Fall Guys so addictive. Adding to the comparison, Fall Guys delivers a more playful, cartoonish experience that’s not only more engaging but also free to play, making it a tough sell for players to invest in Supermoves, especially when it lacks the same spark of joy.

9.5 / 10.0 - Astro Bot
Sep 5, 2024

Team ASOBI did an outstanding job with Astro Bot, a delightful yet playful platformer that is sure to capture the hearts of many gamers and one that I found difficult to put down once I started playing. Its innovative use of the DualSense controller, stunning visual design, engaging audio, and charming narrative make it pure bliss to play and most definitely give Nintendo a run for their money!

All in all, Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 provides a satisfyingly challenging experience that meshes gunplay, mobbing strategy, “offensive” defense, and classic RPG progression into one spectacular bundle. The RPG progression made for a rewarding grind, but the experience was not varied enough for me to want to grind and explore through multiple classes. However, the core gameplay itself was enjoyable for me to complete one full character progression end to end.

8.5 / 10.0 - Bakeru
Sep 4, 2024

There’s no other way to say it: BAKERU feels like a Japanese take on the GameCube classic Super Mario Sunshine, with some Zelda-like magic sprinkled in. The game offers a vibrant, fast-paced adventure that seamlessly fuses traditional Japanese folklore with dynamic action gameplay. Bakeru’s journey celebrates Japan’s cultural heritage while delivering a captivating experience full of surprises, shapeshifting abilities, and rhythmic taiko drumming.

5.5 / 10.0 - Tiebreak
Sep 3, 2024

Overall TIEBREAK isn’t the worst tennis game out there, it has it’s competitiveness and is playable , with only minor glitches that aren’t distracting and more to due with framerate . However the character models need some major upgrading to feel like a up to date sports title that competes with the big leagues like 2K/EA sports.

Mika and the Witch’s Mountain is undeniably a love letter to the past, much like A Hat in Time was just a few years ago. Both games masterfully capture the essence of old-school platformers, blending that nostalgic charm with modern touches that elevate the experience for today’s players. Whether you view it as an homage or a close relative to A Hat in Time, the game’s undeniable charm, from its whimsical characters to its enchanting world, creates a cozy, feel-good adventure that’s hard to resist. Despite its clear similarities, Mika and the Witch’s Mountain carves out enough originality to stand on its own and is undoubtedly a must-play for fans of magical tales and nostalgic platformers.

Star Wars Outlaws is visually stunning, but beneath its beauty, there are some rough edges. Despite these flaws, I remain optimistic that Star Wars Outlaws will improve significantly with further updates and community feedback. There’s a lot of potential for growth, especially with possible DLCs and patches.

7 / 10.0 - Concord
Sep 1, 2024

While Concord has a long way to go before it can be considered a competitor to the likes of Overwatch or Valorant, it shouldn’t be written off entirely. With continued post-launch support, balancing updates, and a commitment to addressing player feedback, Concord could potentially grow into a respectable entry in the team-based FPS genre. However, as it stands now, it remains an unfinished product with more promise than delivery. There’s still time for Concord to rise to the challenge and prove itself, but it needs serious improvements to match the lofty ambitions and expectations set forth by its creators.

8.5 / 10.0 - Crime Scene Cleaner
Aug 31, 2024

Crime Scene Cleaner plunges you into a grim, yet darkly humorous world where your role is not that of a detective solving crimes, but of the unsung hero who arrives after the chaos: the cleaner. Not since Roger Wilco has a janitor’s job been so difficult (a reference for all the oldies among us!). The creators of this unconventional first-person simulation game, President Studio, offer a fresh perspective on the aftermath of crime. Your purpose here is not to find out what happened or apprehend the perpetrators; rather, it is to completely remove any evidence of the horrific crimes that have taken place. Nothing is too gory for you to manage, including blood, corpses, and fragments of bone.

8 / 10.0 - Crypt Custodian
Aug 28, 2024

While Crypt Custodian might not be the most advanced Metroidvania game, and might not have the strongest story, the game brings extra flair and style from its cute graphics and fun side mission of cleaning up the palace, which helps set it apart and make it not just like any other Metroidvania game.

Monster Jam Showdown is what fans of the live-event motorsport have been craving for. Everything about this game properly showcases what monster trucks are all about. Some of its downsides are the repetitive content and lack of variety in environments. This is a great start for Monster Jam.

8.5 / 10.0 - Farewell North
Aug 26, 2024

Farewell North is a cathartic experience—a reminder that grief, while overwhelming, can be transformed into something beautiful. The game doesn’t shy away from the pain of loss, but it also shows that healing, though slow and difficult, is possible when surrounded by love, memories, and the unbreakable bond between a dog and their human.

7.5 / 10.0 - Hunt: Showdown 1896
Aug 25, 2024

The latest update to Hunt: Showdown 1896 introduces a host of exciting enhancements. Players can now explore the expansive and intricately detailed Mammon’s Gulch, where the upgraded visuals significantly enhance the map’s appearance. They can challenge themselves by conquering the Hellborn, the newest fiery Wild Target. The Scorched Earth event offers new weekly challenges for additional rewards. Players can also experiment with the updated ballistics in the shooting range to refine their skills before applying them in the field. Finally, they can enjoy the improved performance and visuals, particularly when taking in the breathtaking mountain vistas and water features.

While the upgraded graphics look amazing, and the adaptation to English and Simplified Chinese are great things, there isn’t anything else to make the game “Remastered”, For this is a visual novel, and there aren’t any mechanics or anything to remaster as the games mostly dialogue and visuals. While the price isn’t the worst, for a remaster with no real added content or value versus the original, it is hard to justify the remaster versus finding the original for cheap. However, in my opinion, the story itself is one of the top visual novels I’ve played and helps this game score high.

If you’re on the hunt for treasure, you won’t find it here. This game is nothing more than a polished turd, dolled up to appear more valuable than it actually is. Beneath its glossy exterior, there’s little substance, and the more you play, the more it feels like you’ve been duped. You’re left staring at something that, despite its shine, fails to justify its nearly $20 price tag.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit is an excellent retro-horror experience perfect for those unfamiliar with the franchise, while dedicated FNAF fans will also enjoy Mega Cat Studios’ creation. While it’s a short game, there’s plenty of replayability, and its $20 price tag is a steal

6 / 10.0 - Deathbound
Aug 19, 2024

Deathbound is such a mixed bag! It offers a daring and imaginative concept, but it falls short of providing a smooth and consistent experience. If you’re a fan of Souls-likes and like to try out new systems and mechanics, you might want to give this one a shot. Personally, I can’t give it my full recommendation because of the frustrating combat that makes up the core of the gameplay here. If you can get past Deathbound’s flaws, there is a great story to unravel, but the game doesn’t live up to its potential and makes you wonder what could have been if developers had worked harder on making combat more enjoyable. Great concepts, poorly executed!
