GameGrin's Reviews
VILE: Exhumed is a cool concept with slick presentation, it's just a little too shallow and short to reach its full potential.
It's great to see Never 7: The End of Infinity get a worldwide release, but playing it is a different story. It's saved with good characters and a fantastic soundtrack, but the writing tries its best to drag them down.
Reality Break is an excellent action RPG that approaches its roguelite elements in a unique way that keeps making me come back for more, and I'm sure that its newest content update delivers more on what players love already. Check it out if you haven't already!
ISLANDERS: New Shores is a chill building experience, full of strategy, that requires a lot of planning to maximise your score, but it remains a calm and relaxing experience.
NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound is a perfect addition to the series. It looks and sounds amazing, and with accessibility options it feels more fair. It's great!
Gore Doctor is an example of when a developer just makes a lazy, bad game. Be warned.
I really enjoyed my time with Hell Clock. It balances all its aspects just right: narrative, gameplay, progression, and difficulty. Just watch the clock, you might lose yourself down in Hell.
Atomic Owl is a roguelike title set in a neon-filled world that, while looking nice, was frustrating to play, making it feel unfair.
Killing Floor 3 does everything you want right, but at the same time, it lacks some of the magic seen in the older games.
Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition brings a classic back for modern audiences. While it retains some of the idiosyncrasies of its time and can be a bit complex, it's still well worth a try, especially with the potential of Steam Workshop!
Wheel World is a cyclist's haven, with tons of challenging races to beat, lands to cycle through, and heaps of customisation options to create your perfect bicycle. Highly recommended.
No Sun to Worship is a fun little exercise in retro stealth, but there's not much here for anyone looking for a deeper adventure.
A gloriously depressing psychological horror tale, conveyed with the visual style of Fallout and the mechanics of Monkey Island.
Mado Monogatari: Fia and the Wondrous Academy has a fun school setting where you take classes to learn new spells. Plus, who doesn't love Carbuncle?
A short, yet fantastic horror game. A masterclass in storytelling and atmosphere.
HUNTER×HUNTER NEN×IMPACT is fun when it works, but its lack of content, polish, and dysfunctional online make it a hard sell, especially at its price point.
RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business is a lot of fun. I honestly did want more RoboCop, and that's exactly what I got. Sure, you don't get to ticket cars this time, but you do get to resolve disputes between neighbours and tell punks to make your day! I just wish that it didn't have so many major issues…
The Drifter is a well-written, fast-paced point-and-click thriller that will keep you glued to your seat. It's a must-play for those who love puzzlers, mystery, and adventure.
Vessels of Decay is a great-looking, retro-inspired game that is unfortunately more frustrating to play because it's buggy.
Mario Kart World is an amazing-looking and sounding title on the Switch 2. I love all the new tracks and characters, though the way you unlock them feels unfair.
