The Enigma is a strong start for This Batman: The Telltale Series The Enemy Within, and I definitely look forward to seeing what Telltale Games does with this new season. I liked the liberties they took with Batman's origin and how his extended family of rogues reacted to him, so after enjoying this new episode I'm sure Telltale Games is going to give us a good second season.
Last Day of June is a unique experience with a great art style, and an interesting story that unfolds through the eyes of the different characters felt great. I definitely recommend this game to those of you looking for something new to try on PlayStation 4!
If you like point and click games, you're in for a really good time with this game, even more so if you're a fan of Maniac Mansion! Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick have worked on quite a lot of great games in the past, and Thimbleweed Park is a worthy addition to their lists. I hope we don't have to wait too long for their nexst game!
Yakuza Kiwami is an excellent upgrade of the first game in the long-running Yakuza series and a must-have on PlayStation 4. It might feel shorter for those of you who first got a taste of the series with either Yakuza 5 or Yakuza 0, but this release is faithful to the original on PlayStation 2, with revamped graphics and frame rate, content that was missing from the game when it arrived on PS2 back in the day, as well as additional content, all for only $29.99. I really enjoyed my time with Yakuza Kiwami, and look forward to playing Yakuza 6, as well as the recently announced Yakuza Kiwami 2.
Comet Crash 2: The Kronkoid Wars is a great sequel and a fun release. The graphics are great with a nice level of polish, making it easy to focus on the action all over the screen. As long as you give the tutorial a go and don't end up running blindly into the main campaign, you'll have a ton of fun during the single player campaign before you dive into the multiplayer.
Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles is a relaxing, colorful, charming and fun release on PlayStation 4 that you should definitely checkout. It offers a lot of content and a full trophy list that is very entertaining as it marks the many milestones you'll reach. You can check it out digitally straight from the PSN store, but if you like physical copies with bonus items, you can check out the Collector's release from Signature Editions by clicking right here.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA is a massive game for PlayStation 4 and Vita with so much to do. It's a very fun and gorgeous game with a solid story, making this a game that you have to play on PlayStation 4 today. It's definitely now in the running for Game of the Year (at least in my book), and hopefully you will feel the same once you get started with your adventure!
Overall I liked this episode, which is a problem since it makes me want to play the next episode right now! Of course, Giant Consequences ends on a cliffhanger, and I'm not even sure what direction will be taken by the next episode!
If you are a fan of “walking simulator games, you'll probably enjoy Neptune Flux, even if it is short and does lacks the story depth that you find in games such as Gone Home. With the way your field of view is limited since you're deep under water, playing the game on PS VR is definitely the way to go.
Be sure to give this one a go as it's worthy of your time and money
Chime has done it again with Zero Time Dilemma, giving us a game that is a must-have for fans of visual novels, and even more so for fans of the series.
Volition has done something great with Agents of Mayhem. It does a good job at being a spin-off that can stand on its own, providing players with a lot of content and a lot of variety to keep them busy for a long time. Fans of open world games and/or the Saints Row series definitely need to play this game.
We enjoyed our time with the game thanks to its interesting premise and its colorful puzzles, but do feel that at times it is a bit harsh with players. You will be punished for your mistakes, so be ready for that! This is a solid first effort, and we look forward to seeing what the team can do with the premise if they get to work on a sequel.
If you're a fan of adventure and/or Metroidvania games, you'll definitely have a good time with Mages of Mystralia. Trying to complete it will take you around 15-20 hours which is quite a decent time for an indie release. We really liked the way the game handles upgrades and opening up new skills for you to use, and we're sure you' enjoy it as well.
I liked playing through Pressure Overdrive, and had fun with the way each race was setup. The environments look great and the game runs very smoothly. There are a ton of upgrades you can add to your buggy so that you can customize your experience, adding a lot of replay value to the game – especially when you factor in Endless mode and the leaderboards.
I liked Ultra Hyperball, but your mileage may vary. The single player campaign can be completed in a couple of hours at most if you're trying to get silver or gold medals for all stages, but the Co-Op and Battle modes greatly increase the game's replay value. If you have 1-3 friends to join in on the activities, the mayhem that will follow will more than make this a good option for your collection. But if you don't like the repetitive nature of the game, then you certainly won't enjoy its dozens of stages.
Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below is a very addictive game. While it is a bit repetitive due to the nature of its gameplay, it never stops being fun. I definitely recommend giving this a go since I'm sure you'll have fun with this nice twist on the formula. And if you like it, be sure to pick up its sequel as well!
I had a lot of fun with Super Rude Bear Resurrection. After the tutorial in which it teaches you the basics, the game will not hold your hand at all. You'll need to learn from a lot of trial and error as you try to find the best solution to each of the tricky hazard-packed areas in the game. Since every time you die you leave behind a corpse, players of all skill levels will eventually be able to get to the exit. If you're looking for a challenging release on PS4, you're definitely going to love Super Rude Bear Resurrection.
Infinite Golf lives up to its name as there are infinite possibilities thanks to the Editor and its course creation tools. With so many players in all platforms contributing more and more courses for the game, you could spend years playing new courses every single day! This is a game I highly recommend, and which will hopefully soon be even better once Zen Studios adds support for PS Move controllers.
Overall, Amnesia Collection is a great option on PlayStation 4 since it includes more than enough content for its asking price, and it will surely delight fans of the horror genre. If you want to see how the team refined their craft on their way to creating SOMA, then be sure to give this collection a go!
