Ace of Seafood is a weird Japanese release which has a lot of flaws, the worst being the actual gameplay and how you control things. The camera will be your worst enemy, and aiming at enemies could definitely have been way better. I'd suggest you avoid this game unless it goes on sale and you really want to try a weird game that only gets weirder as you play more and more.

Batman: The Enemy Within – The Pact ends in a cliffhanger, as is to be expected from a Telltale Games episodic release, and it will definitely leave you wanting more. Luckily the third episode for the series releases soon, so the wait won't be that long!

Hand of Fate 2 is a fun game with an interesting mix of board game/card game/action game mechanics that perfectly come together to make it all work. There is certainly a luck element thrown into the mix due to the dice and card gameplay mechanics, but in the end it makes for a very fun and dynamic gaming experience. I definitely liked what the team has done with this sequel and I look forward to seeing what they end up doing next!

8 / 10 - Perception
Nov 16, 2017

Perception is an interesting psychological thriller that I definitely recommend you check out on Nintendo Switch. The unique gameplay premise of the game by which you must use sound to be able to find your way around the location mixes things up, placing you in the shoes of a blind woman who won't let her disability get in the way. Abandoned houses are creepy by nature, but exploring an abandoned house as a blind woman who literally can't see what lurks in the dark is a thrilling experience. Playing in the dark is the best way to enjoy this 3 to 4-hour release, especially if you're playing in portable mode with your headphones on!

Raiders of the Broken Planet is an ambitious and solid indie release on PlayStation 4 that does a lot of things right. MercurySteam managed to release a fun episodic game with offline and online modes while offering it at a fraction of the cost of other games. Being able to get campaigns as they release is interesting, and if you like the prologue you can dive in and get the Founder's Pack which makes it so that you get all campaigns as they release.

A Hole New World is a solid game with a ton of content to enjoy. Along with the main campaign you also have a Boss Rush Mode, a Challenge Mode, and different endings, thus increasing the replay value. There are also several NPC to find in each stage, not to mention trophies tied to it! I definitely recommend that you check out A Hole New World on PS4!

Once again, this episode starts with à great action sequence which was fun to play. There are more actions sequences farther in the episode, but it overall felt slower than the pace of the previous episodes, but was still enjoyable.

9 / 10 - Demon Gaze II
Nov 14, 2017

Demon Gaze II is a must-have for fans of dungeon crawlers. It's an excellent release on PlayStation 4 that expands on what was done by the first game in the series. It's charming graphics, tight controls, and solid gameplay mechanics, and the huge amount of content make this a game that will not disappoint you.

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is a very fun and colorful game you can enjoy on your own or with up to three other friends. Hectically changing between stations and using your space pet to help you control one station at a time while you focus on something else, or coordinating with your team as you try to find all space-bunnies in the area while keeping your ship in one piece.

Overall, The Girl and the Robot is a fun release with good and colorful graphics, and music that perfectly complements the gameplay and story. The combat is a bit lacking, but it's not a deal-breaker for this indie release. After all the time it spent in development, it's great to finally be able to enjoy this one on PS4.

9 / 10 - Forma.8
Nov 10, 2017

forma.8 is a fun and charming Metroidvania release with plenty to offer. It might feel short for some of you since it will probably take you 5-6 hours to complete, but that only means it's an entertaining release that doesn't overstay its welcome.

Fishing Master on PlayStation VR is well worth the try if you like a good angling competition. It's light-hearted and fun, and it will immerse you into a world of the sport and transport you to places you wouldn't normally be able to visit – which is the whole point of a VR experience, right

9 / 10 - Syberia 3
Nov 9, 2017

Syberia on Nintendo Switch is the same release as the critically acclaimed and fan favorite version from 15 years ago, and it still feels great. Being able to play it at home or on the go without delay is a big plus for this version, and it's made it easier for me to play the game in short and long chunks on my TV and by using the Switch in portable mode. Considering this is a 10-12 hour adventure, having that flexibility is a big plus.

Earth Atlantis is a solid 2D shoot ‘em up release on Nintendo Switch with a unique look that will grab your attention as soon as you start playing. There is a nice variety of enemies to defeat and bosses to conquer, and the recent patch released for the game has increased drop rates for items and sub-weapons, made the ship move faster and rebalanced bosses so that players of all skill levels have a shot at enjoying the game. The publisher has also changed the game's Nintendo Switch icon to something a bit more snazzy if that's the sort of thing you look for in your Switch games!

Trulon: The Shadow Engine is a short game, and there's one trophy in particular that asks that you complete the game in less than five hours, which is doable but probably best that you do it during your second run. On the plus side, this one has a Platinum trophy and several Gold and Silver trophies for your time, so do keep that in mind! If you're looking for a turn-based RPG with a twist, then be sure to check this one out!

This Is the Police is a fun game on Nintendo Switch with a minimalist look, an interesting story, and entertaining gameplay mechanics. The price might at first seem high, but rest assured that this one has more than enough content to justify its asking price. If you're more into purchasing physical copies of Nintendo Switch games, you can do that when This Is the Police releases at retail on December 5.

Fragments of him handles loss and sexual orientation, two very tricky topics, in a sensitive way. Having experienced profound loss myself, I applaud the approach the developers took since the feeling of loss is very real in this game and it is presented in a proper way. A big message presented by the game, and one I approve of, is that if you're feeling depressed about loss or about your sexuality and how things are evolving around you, then you should seek help – there is no shame in asking others for their support! Fragments of Him is a great walking simulator with an excellent story and one you should pick up on PS4 today!

Eventide 2: Sorcerer's Mirror is a good sequel to Eventide and a fun point and click adventure with plenty of puzzles to solve. Other than some instances in which clicking on larger objects in a hidden object puzzle didn't immediately register until the second-third time I clicked, the game is a solid release with plenty of content for its asking price. It has great graphics, relaxing music and entertaining gameplay mechanics that make it an easy release to recommend.

Squareboy vs Bullies: Arena Edition is an entertaining release that offers some mindless beat ‘em up action. It is probably best played with younger players since it's not a challenging release for those who are more experienced in the genre. It's a bit weird that you end up beating up bullies as a way of teaching them to stop bullying others, but it's the thought that counts, right?
