8 / 10 - Tethered (VR)
May 8, 2017

Tethered is a fun release that is now available for all PlayStation 4 owners to enjoy. By removing the PS VR requirement, Secret Society has made it possible for millions of console owners to give this game a try. There's plenty of content to explore, and with a solid set of gameplay mechanic as its foundation, you'll be spending dozens of hours helping the Peeps succeed. Are you up for the challenge?

I loved playing the game for my Dreamfall Chapters review. It's an excellent adventure game and a very polished release. It features great writing and a solid story, really good graphics and a ton of content to enjoy. What's not to like? Other than not having a mini-map or map while exploring each location, this is a must-have on PS4

8 / 10 - Kero Blaster
May 4, 2017

I do recommend giving Kero Blaster a go, especially if you're up for a challenge! If you want to 100% the game, you'll need to complete its regular mode along with its two bonus modes, one of which even remixes stages while adding new content to the experience! Sure, there is no Platinum trophy, but this is one of those games where if you can 100% its trophy list you'll proudly display it in your profile! Can you do a no death run? You better learn all of your enemies weaknesses and memorize the layout of every level!

Overall, Touhou Genso Wanderer is a fun roguelike dungeon crawler with plenty of content to enjoy and a considerable challenge. One false move could be the end of your journey, but you will always learn from the experience and get ready to try it all over again. You'll spend dozens of hours trying to see everything the game has to offer as you journey towards that shiny Platinum trophy at the end of the road.

9 / 10 - TumbleSeed
May 2, 2017

All in all, Tumbleseed is a game that is a bit hard to describe, but it's certainly very fun! It's one of those “easy to learn but hard to master” type of releases that has a lot to offer. It, unfortunately, does not include a Platinum trophy, but the balance of trophies is good for hunters. It features colorful graphics with a great degree of polish, flawless gameplay and no bugs or glitches – at least not during my time with the game! It's quirky control scheme, story and character definitel caught my attention from the start and made me greatly enjoy this PlayStation 4 release. Kudos to the aeiowu team. After playing this gem, I look forward to seeing what they work on next!

9 / 10 - Everything
May 1, 2017

You're either going to love or hate Everything. It's that type of game as it offers an experience that is pretty out there which is not going to be everyone's cup of tea. Do I recommend the game? Certainly! It is a voyage that has to be experienced. I'm sure that even if you don't end up liking the game, it will still leave its mark on you – you won't be forgetting about this game anytime soon!

9 / 10 - Aaero
Apr 28, 2017

There's a learning curve for this game due to how it handles its rhythm sections, but once you get the hang of things, you'll be in the zone and hitting 80%+ accuracy with no problem. So if you're looking for a fun rhythm game with solid gameplay mechanics, you should definitely add Aeero to your PS4 collection.

9 / 10 - KAMIKO
Apr 27, 2017

KAMIKO is a short but fun Nintendo Switch release. A single run can take as little as 30 minutes to complete, and once you're done you can do it all over again with a different character. Three complete runs will therefore take less than 2 hours, but it's a very entertaining ride while it lasts. The game is only $4.99 and its gameplay, music and graphics make it well worth the price of admission. There's also some extra secrets to find in this adventure, not to mention that the game will record your time for each character so that you can aim to speedrun the game. And perhaps something good will happen when you complete the game with all three characters…

8 / 10 - MechRunner
Apr 26, 2017

MechRunner is a fun mech runner with polished graphics and a good attention to detail. If you're looking for an arcade-style release on PlayStation 4 in the runner genre with lots of action and mechs and explosions then you should definitely check this one out. There's a solid challenge in this one, even if it does get a bit grindy here and there.

7 / 10 - The Deer God
Apr 25, 2017

Overall The Deer God is certainly an interesting game with some very good graphics. Due to the randomization and roguelike elements, this one has a lot of replay value. Other than the problem with some of the quests, which is not a deal-breaker, you should consider this one for your PS4 collection.

Overall I have had an absolute blast playing the game, for my Puyo Puyo Tetris review. All my memories of playing Tetris and Puyo Puyo came flooding back, and the game has been well worth he wait. Puyo Puyo and Tetris go so well together, and the great number of modes available for play make this a must have for puzzle fans and fans of both series. This is a must-have puzzle game you should get on PS4 ASAP!

The game only has 19 trophies but it does include a Platinum trophy for your trouble, and it's not at all hard to obtain especially with the ability to rewind time. The game, story and gameplay mechanics are absolutely brilliant. The game gets full marks for uniqueness, and its graphics are great – very polished and stylish. The game has no voice acting, but that is not a deal-breaker. While The Sexy Brutale might be a short experience, it is highly recommended, addictive and well worth its asking price.

9 / 10 - Mr. Shifty
Apr 19, 2017

Mr. Shifty is a very fun and fast-paced Nintendo Switch release with plenty of content to enjoy. You're looking at around 4-7 hours to finish the whole thing depending on skill, which makes its $14.99 price tag feel right on target. The only thing I could complain about is a couple of rooms in which the game suffered from some considerable slowdown when the area was too crowded, as well as the one time the game crashed on me. Luckily it was at the start of the final stage, so I just hit continue on the main screen and was back in action. tinyBuild has already said that Team Shifty will be working on a patch for the game to solve this, but rest assured it's certainly not a deal-breaker as the game is very playable and entertaining in its current itineration.

9 / 10 - Flinthook
Apr 18, 2017

I highly recommend giving Flinthook a go. Gameplay is fluid, graphics look great, and the fast-paced action will keep you coming back for more. Being able to level up and improve your odds of surviving after every fun you do is a great mechanic that will make it easier for those of you not used to roguelikes to get some quality time with this release. Even if you die and have to start from scratch, at least you can get stronger as you go!

I had been looking forward to playing The Silver Case from the moment NIS America announced they'd be bringing the remaster to the PlayStation 4, and I was certainly not disappointed. The game has aged greatly and is certainly an interesting release. The controls are not ideal but get the job done, so if you're up for the challenge, you should definitely take The Silver case for a spin. The extra chapters help to give players some new information that expands on the main game's story and are a very welcomed addition.

Blackwood Crossing is a fantastic game with very polished graphics, and an interesting story. It might be a short game which can be completed in around three hours or so, but it's a fun ride from start to finish. I loved how Scarlett interacted with her little brother, not to mention her reactions to what was going on at each location. I don't want to spoil the game for you, so all I'll say is that if you're an adventure fan, you have to give this one a go.

I have to give it to Stoic since they really know how to make a good game! I had a blast playing both games in The Banner Saga Complete Pack, as well as the challenge from Survival mode. After all this The Banner Saga I look forward to checking out what the team has to offer for The Banner Saga 3!

I enjoyed my time with the game as I wrote this Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight, and I found myself playing more and more even after I had finished drafting it. Sure, there’s other things I haven’t mentioned about the game, but that’s only because I don’t want to spoil it for you! There’s something very addictive about the gameplay, setting, music and graphics for the game that kept me coming back for more, so I hope it has the same effect on you. I look forward to seeing what Bombservice does next on PlayStation!

9 / 10 - Toukiden 2
Apr 6, 2017

I said when I started this Toukiden 2 review that I was new to the monster hunting genre. What Toukiden 2 provided was a great way to dive into the experience and learn about the genre. The gameplay loop is the clear driving force of the game, and like others of its type, there is an addictive nature to it. This is a great entry point for people new to the genre, but even experienced players are going to have a blast.
