The honest truth is that this game feels like a cash grab. It's $39.99, and I can recommend many games that are better and which cost half to three quarters less. It's short, lacks a compelling reason for the obscene amount of collectibles, and doesn't do anything new. At this point, you would be better skipping this cat and trying something else.

All in all, Ancient Amuletor was fun to play and is well worth the purchase. It offers a good experience for the asking price, and its DLC pack is only a few bucks to gain access to a new theme, a new playable character, two new stages and more.

Quest of Dungeons is a very fun game. It was a lot of fun on Wi U and 3DS, and this is still the case for the Nintendo Switch version. The only real difference is that, due to the nature of the Switch, you can play exactly the same game at home or on the go without any trouble while in its Docked, Handheld or Tabletop modes. If you're looking for an action-packed released on Switch, then I highly recommend this one!

Gunbarich is a great brick breaking game for Nintendo's latest platform, and a fun one at that. It's an oldie but goodie that released a while ago in arcade machines, and it's now been given a second chance to reach both fans who got to play it many years ago, or those who are just finding it out on Switch.

Overall, Conga Master Party! is a fun party game with colorful graphics and hectic gameplay. Its controller setup does need a bit of a trial and error before you can get things just right, but that's part of the fun in the game. The more people you have around for playing, the better your overall experience will be, so be sure to throw a Conga party at your home or on the go!

Overall, Volgarr the Viking is a fun homage to old-school arcade action releases such as Super Ghouls N' Ghosts and Rastan, even having the chance to throw in some Castlevania. It's the right amount of difficulty as to present a challenge without feeling cheap or hard for the sake of being hard. It's a solid release that plays great and that offers more than enough content for it's asking price.

7 / 10 - Bleed
Oct 31, 2017

Bleed is an entertaining 2D action game with lots of replay value. The more you play, the better stuff you can get for your arsenal – not to mention the upgrades you can get to increase your odds of survival. The game is perfect for speedrunners, but it also offers something for those who don't mind not worrying about shaving a second or two to their overall completion time. If you're looking for a fast-paced, action-packed and (in the higher difficulty settings) challenging release, then be sure to check this one from Bootdisk Revolution and Digerati!

8 / 10 - ELEX
Oct 30, 2017

THQ Nordic and Piranha Games had a really ambitious project in ELEX, and one that surprisingly went under the radar for a lot of people after it was announced back in 2015. For me, it's an incredible surprise, and it's definitely a game that's worth playing if you're an open-world or action RPG fan. It may have a few technical issues here and there, but I can't remember a lot of open-world games in recent years that didn't have any, and it's nothing that should prevent you from appreciating the game – plus there's probably a patch on its way. Don't let this one pass you by, since there's a hidden gem in ELEX.

League of Evil is a very fun and addictive 2D platforming release on Nintendo Switch. It's pixel art graphics are bright and colorful, it's gameplay is solid and controls work flawlessly, and the music is a great complement to the action. I'm happy that Ratalaika Games decided to bring us this one on Nintendo Switch, and I look forward to checking out what they do next for Nintendo's console.

If you've played Vagabond Dog's hit on PC before, you won't find any new material in this release of Always Sometimes Monsters, as it's the exact same thing. But if you haven't played it , or if you want to give it another shot with maybe another way of tackling your decisions, it's the kind of game that gives a lot more to you than just “playing a game – it might even help someone if they're going through a similar situation. One thing's for sure, it's a game that's definitley worth playing.

Graphically the experience is very pleasing, the storyline is strong, and it manages you fill you with many emotions during a short time. The quality of the graphics and the art style is superb, and that linked to the atmospheric sounds and music gives the viewer a fabulous emotional immersive experience.

8 / 10 - Windjammers
Oct 26, 2017

Windjammers was a very fun game back when it released on the Neo Geo, and it's just as fun now that it's available on PlayStation 4. The added online mode makes it possible to get your multiplayer on even when you don't have any friends locally. If you played this one back in the day then getting the new PS4 version is a no-brainer, and if you've never played it, then this is the perfect time to join in on the fun.

Bad Apple Wars is a visual novel that doesn't reinvent the genre, but is still a good release on the PlayStation Vita. I liked the branching story, but thought that the presentation could have been better. If you're looking for a new visual novel to take for a spin on PS Vita, then this could be what you needed.

Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon is a lot of fun despite the time limits – I had a blast playing it. The Platinum trophy is going to be tricky and very grindy, but that's usually the case for most action RPG releases on PS4. The graphics and animations in the game are absolutely brilliant, bringing the world and its characters to life – be sure to check this one out!

RAID: World War II is a tale of two games. On one hand, I really like the world that the game exists in and the character it tries to infuse into it, as well as the large maps to explore and learn. On the other hand, the game is lacking an online community, which this type of game really needs. Couple that with the dated look of the game, and I think the title misses the mark.

The Mummy Demastered is a fun Metroidvania released as a tie-in to The Mummy, and I definitely recommend you play this one. It's only $19.99 and offers more than enough content to justify its price tag, not to mention that it might opens the door for WayForward to work on games for the rest of the Universal monster revival. If you're a fan of the Metroidvania genre then you're going to enjoy playing through this one since it just feels right – itplays like a Metroidvania, looks great and has a solid soundtrack as well.

Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition is a short but fun game with plenty of extras to make it worth your time and money. It's a time capsule to a time in gaming when having full motion video on your TV screen that you could interact with was mind-blowing and, considering we've been getting new interactive movies to play on PlayStation 4 thanks to Wales Interactive and its release of The Bunker and Late Shift, now is definitely the perfect time to revisit the game that pretty much started it all.

Raiden V: Director's Cut is a very fun and fast-paced shoot ‘em up on PS4 that fans of the genre, and fans of the Raiden franchise, are going to love. There's a lot of content to enjoy in this one and plenty of replayability thanks to the different routes available for each stage, and trophy hunters will end up spending even more time with the game if they want to unlock every single trophy in the list. Raiden V: Director's Cut is the definite version of the game and a welcome addition to the PlayStation 4 library, and you should play it today!
