Blossom Tales achieves with flying colors a synthesis of what used to make a 2D Zelda a great game, while adding enough ideas to satisfy the old-school fanatics. Thanks to a charming art direction, Castle Pixel's second game will please most of nostalgic gamers. But such reverence to the original Zelda series will not come along with many surprises, even with such a short length.

Stifled offers an original approach to the survival and stealth genre, with sound used as a way to progress and being chased. The efficient VR experience sadly falls flat as it gets redundant and the mechanics quickly run out of steam.

PUBG is a like an adrenaline shot. It is surely one of the best multiplayer experiences in recent years. With its simple and highly effective principle, it has been the best Battle Royale game and one of the funniest games of 2017. And will probably be in 2018 too.

Tiny Metal tries to pursue the long lost heritage of the Famicom Wars series... maybe too much ? Every good idea the game delivers is always counterbalanced by several bad ones : the dialogs are nice too watch but way too long for the genre, the missions are solids, but the Fog War is fustrating as it is, and the strategy is sometimes hard to fiollow with such a poor IA. Only those who choose to forbid Tiny Metal will enjoy its strong content.

Sadly, Destiny 2 : Curse of Osiris offers a really short and unsatisfying campaign. The story is unengaging and the whole content feels a bit weak, even if the new raid deserves to be tried.

Becoming a VR Game, Fallout 4 feels the same and new at the same time. A huge game with a lot of quests, a fantastic atmospherer and the feeling that we are in the future, walking in the Commonweath. Only a few mechanics don't feel vey natural but it doesn't prevent us to keep on playing.

On top of quantity, Mario Party : The Top 100 gathers quality minigames that were wisely chosen, nicely updated and carefully ported to the portable console, although this nostalgic selection also results from the eventual compatibility with the original controls, consequently creating a few issues. Worse, the main modes are too simplistic and almost void of content. Whether those underline a lack of inspiration or development time, such shortcomings prevent this compilation from expressing its potential further than brief multiplayer sessions.

With Life is Strange Before the Storm - Episode 3 : Hell is Empty, Deck Nine brings a satisfying conclusion to this prequel. Even if we could have expected some more significant consequences to the choices we wake, it's still a touching story for two really adorable characters in a lovely world. A godd way to wait for what's next.

Sold as a Metal Gear Solid parody, Never Stop Sneakin' delivers mission after mission some top down infiltration fun with retro visuals which clearly act as a strong hommage to the PlayStation console. Strong as it can be within its first hours, the game runs short of idea before we really expect it to, maybe acting too generously too early to keep up with the genre.

At first, It'z Quiz Time first feels promising as it has some good ideas and is really easy to play. But players can quickly be bored by its quite awkward digital hostess and the way some rounds play.

Through such arduous trials, the Champions' Ballad pushes Breath of the Wild's mechanics to their limits, whether combat or puzzles.

Dead Rising 4 : Frank's Big Package is the Xbox One version with all its additional contents - that need a 17Go file to download. It is still a fun action game that runs smoothly on PS4 and offers some interesting modes beside its solo campaign.

"The sooner the better" This may apply to Pok'mon Ultra-Sun and Ultra-Moon in many ways. While fresh memories from the previous episodes help to notice the small, delicate differences, with clever twists aimed at Alola's returning vacationers, the main story transformations happen rather late. Similarly, the additions are mostly interesting, even captivating, but they often lack more development to express their full potential, and overall flaws were not really addressed, in particular tedious pace and inconsistent challenge. However, the generous amount of commemorative - not to say recycled - content suggests Game Freak tried to reach some closure there, broken rules like the introduction of new species during this generation hinting that the series might seriously evolve in the future. Better late than never...

Chaos on Deponia is an excellent point and click game that really suits PS4 - which was already the case with Deponia. It is visually superb and displays some fantastic arts and is really fun. We wish it could have brought some bonus like artworks with it.

Why did Square Enix bother to work on an online version of Final Fantasy XV ? Comrades just cuts short the open fights of the main game, taking off its charming exploration part. Naked as a baby, the adventure only serves four-players redondant fights, only if you survived the long lobby waitings. Only the hardcore dying fans of the Eos universe should spend some good time playing it.

Dungeons 3 lets us with a frown. The management part is very good with lot of possibilities but on the other hand, RTS part is too classic. It's too redundant to be a fully enjoyable experience.

Looking like a DLC for the 2016's DOOM, VFR can easily be considered a pleasant experience as it's still a bloody nervous FPS. But none of the ways to control the main protagonist feels fully satisfying, which is too bad.

Who could be interested by Super Lucky's Tale ? Without its VR feature, Playful's last game seem to just be. Experienced players will not find anything worth the time in this basic plateformer which cannot properly copy any mechanics of the genre. And with its irritating controls, it clearly is not suited for children. Too bad, because its colorful levels had some good ideas here and then.

This Black Mirror reboot is a wonky adventure game flawed witfh some terrible gameplay ideas and a lot of loadings issues. Even if you're a fan of the genre and a patient gamer, it's hard to recommend it.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 gets bolder in every direction, with a colorful character design backed by a caricatural tone to mask the gravity of the purpose underneath, a denser world deployed vertically, that literally breathes life through atmospheric compositions and folklore. Some ideas deserved more development, but most concepts are organically integrated, the versatile talents of the Blades sharpening the whole gameplay. A way to cut deeper into this huge adventure enriched by the variety and random nature of such symbiotic support creations, while its slight impression of d'j' vu only comes from the essential elements scavenged to forge the saga's most refined iteration. Nothing disappears, everything transforms indeed.
