No matter where you stand in the debate, The Last of Us Part 1 is a real punch in the gut. With an outstanding technical performance, a remarkable overhaul of an outdated gameplay, a sublimated atmosphere, even more poignant cinematics and more realistic environments, the remake is more striking and visceral than ever. Naughty Dog offers a familiar and yet fresh look at this cult game. A full-fledged next-gen game, unchanged in its content but transcended by its form, which deserves to be rediscovered sooner or later.

Dead Space Remake is more than just a remake, it's a whole new game. Motive has done a titanic job to give a second life to one of the masterpieces of the survival horror genre. Not only its graphics are a real slap in the face and its sound design is absolutely fantastic, but he few gameplay adjustments and the work on the level design offer a real added value. Even those who know the original game by heart will be surprised. An incredible dive into horror and a real "new gen" slap in the face. Now we only want one thing, the sequel, and quickly!

Starfield is a true system seller. More than a game, it's an epic poem. An extremely rich and generous adventure that surprises you every time and when you least expect it. Alan Wake 2 is definitely one of the best games of the year as it ridicules the competition on many levels. It is the result of many years of experimentation. Remedy signs here an important episode for the history of the studio, its connected universe and for Alan. A meta game at all levels that will embark us on an adventure that takes to the guts. Story well tied, strong character, careful writing, it has it all.

It’s a must-do masterpiece if you’ve never had the time to try it before. This fully optimized version on PS5 is a feast for the eyes and ears. There is nothing to throw away, especially since in addition to being sublime, the game is incredible, we know that. For fans of the license, many bonuses (developer comments, deleted levels, etc.) are also included. The roguelike mode does the job very well, even if it is only playable solo. It will certainly kill you for a few extra hours if it is not really essential. But when the job is done very well, why sulk? The same will not be said of the mode which allows you to play the guitar freely, which will only appeal to serious enthusiasts. The Last of Us 2 Remastered is therefore unmissable if you have never touched the game, but if you own the original game on PS4, although it will only cost you around ten euros, it is difficult to recommend, except for early fans obviously.

The first Dragon's Dogma was already a very unique game in its own right, that sadly did not shine as bright as it should have. With Dragon's Dogma 2, Capcom went above and beyond everything we could have hoped for. From its gigantic and beautifully well crafted open world we excitedly want to explore in its every nook and cranny to its brilliantly epic gameplay and the oh so genius Pawn system, this sequel is a masterpiece that majestically gives justice to that franchise very close to Capcom's heart.

Forza Horizon 4 brings new ideas and new elements to a base that was already excellent. A base that has also been revealed to be a ground to raise amazing things. Gorogoa is a very subtile and brilliantly innovative visual experience that will let your wide wide open long after its conclusion, thanks to a clever structure from start to finish. Jason Roberts' first game choose to mute this narrative puzzle tale, only to focus on strong visuals that navigates somewhere between surrealism and melancholy. Gorogoa may be quick to finish, but a second run seems clearly mandatory once you saw the ending. Too bad that all the available versions of the game display such different prices.

With Return of the Obra Dinn, Lucas Pope once again aims for the heart : this post-mortem mystery demands quite a lot from the player, but delivers one of the most rewarding experiences of this year. Return of the Obra Dinn is not suited for everyone, but its wonderful disjointing storytelling will keep those who agree to its formula awake for long.
