Tales of Arise is a great J-RPG. With a great scenario much more complex than it seems, and touching characters. The seductive design is also at the rendezvous, as is the gameplay in combat, very nervous and close to a beat 'em all, and an RPG aspect a little behind but convincing. And if the PS5 version does not benefit from a most insane optimization, it was a real pleasure to play this Tales of Arise. If the J-RPG is your cam, you should not miss out.

6 / 10 - Sable
Sep 22, 2021

If Sable manages without difficulty to suck us into his universe quick to explore and meet thanks to a striking artistic direction and a soaring soundtrack of very high flight, the technical part beats so much of the wing that the caravan sometimes stalls to cross a simple bute. Quick to the most surprising collision bugs, Sable nevertheless offers a dreamlike and sensory adventure that invites you to take your time, to better let yourself be lulled by its charming but sometimes frustrating universe.

7 / 10 - NBA 2K22
Sep 20, 2021

A good vintage that this NBA 2K22, this is undeniable. On current-gen, the game does the job and follows in broad strokes what the next-gen version offers, the power and graphic quality less. The latter enjoys an arduous gameplay for novices but oh so much more balanced for purists, with the dose of challenge that goes well. In the end, there are only the VCs, untimely loading times (again) and a technical quality not always irreproachable in certain areas (facial expressions) to cast a little shadow on this new component, which can only end up elsewhere than at home if you like basketball... failing to revolutionize the genre and the license in the great widths.

6 / 10 - Hoa
Sep 17, 2021

If the last levels are more daring in terms of mechanisms and staging, even if it means going beyond the framework (theoretically dedicated to youth), they still arouse a feeling of déjà vu. In just two hours, this form of playful video anime therefore gives the impression of simply reciting its score, yet passionate, for lack of carrying a truly original idea. Hoa, which means flower in Vietnamese, fades quickly, but is still a beautiful tribute to his inspirations.

7 / 10 - Aragami 2
Sep 17, 2021

With no frills or risk-taking, Aragami 2 continues to offer players a good action/infiltration experience. The appeal of the game comes mainly from its hyper nervous gameplay, allowed thanks to the quick movements of the hero who can thus remain discreet without having to wait long moments before being able to taste action. However, we regret a certain repetitiveness because of not very exciting missions, a scenario-pretext and a rather low variety in the maps that host the action.

9 / 10 - Lost Judgment
Sep 16, 2021

Judgment was already very good. Lost Judgment is much better. It's as simple as that. The Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has built a titanic adventure on the already very solid pillars of the first episode. Basically, the game features a captivating main story that shows Japan like few games have done. In parallel to this, he unfolds a second plot at least as dense that really plunges into a Japanese high school. And on top of that, the title has the luxury of offering dozens of quests and side business. All helped by improvements to the gameplay and sprinkled with new mini-games. Rumors claim that Lost Judgment could be the last episode of the series because of disagreements between SEGA and Takuya Kimura's agency.

9 / 10 - Eastward
Sep 14, 2021

A true Masterpiece. That's the word that comes after having accomplished this trip in the company of John and Sam. Varied level design, fascinating story, funny and endearing characters, fantastic visual and audio… Eastward has it all. Much more than a pale copy of its illustrious models, Pixpil's neo-retro game ticks all the right boxes to establish itself as a pure 2D action-adventure gem.

8 / 10 - Cris Tales
Sep 13, 2021

Clearly, Cris Tales is a very humble and charming little game, and if it's your cam, you should look into its case. Good sensations guaranteed.

8 / 10 - Deathloop
Sep 13, 2021

Deathloop is a unique mix between FPS, sci-fi and mystery in a 70's case. Trapped in a time loop, Colt Vahn must understand and memorize every nook and cranny of a strange island and it's strange cast of vilains. Despite some kind of redundancy in its last hours, Deathloop is an intelligent, beautiful, singular and well-written adventure not to miss.

7 / 10 - TOEM
Sep 13, 2021

In these troubled times, this is an experience that should do good to all players anxious to trade for a moment the very real turpitudes of our world for the good words and surprises of an adventure that seems to have understood what feel-good really means.

7 / 10 - Lake
Sep 10, 2021

Between the walking simulator, and the video game experience, Lake is a contemplative title that takes advantage of rather well-written characters, and a system of dialogues impactful enough for us to think about the meaning of life and its priorities. No choice is better than the other, so the title really lets us opt for what we want, without it having a positive or negative impact on the gaming experience.

F.I.S.T. Forged in Shadow Torch first manages to captivate the player for hours thanks to its singular world. Unfortunately, even if we feel that he has been inspired by the best and proposes a global construction that inspires respect, he suffers from certain errors of youth impossible not to sanction.

Despite a certain lack of inspiration, the WarioWare company keeps having some ambition, potentially less lucrative than its greedy owner's. Thus Get It Together! favors efficiency over quantity with microgames by focusing on gameplay, customized for each - henceforth playable - character in order to provide different ways to play, yet in teams. The Switch's technological functions are therefore limited to the detachable controllers, a not so audacious approach for the franchise, contrary to the choice of such heterogeneous protagonists, reflecting the decidedly varied modes. Whether innovative or harebrained, this convivial evolution surely follows Wario's philosophy as a gambler.

Even if it feels like you've already played it a few times during its the first hours, Life is Strange True Colors feels definitley fresh thanks to its writing and lovable characters - thanks to its voice actors. The power of its protagonist could have been used in better ways in terms of gameplay, but this trip to Haven Springs will definitely captivate players in need of emotions.

7 / 10 - WRC 10
Sep 7, 2021

WRC 10 is not a bad opus of the series, with its share of novelties rather welcome. Mode 50e birthday finally allows you to enjoy former glories of the discipline, and even if we would have liked it to be more fleshed out, it still makes an act of presence.

8 / 10 - The Medium
Sep 6, 2021

The Medium returns to PS5, and offers an experience similar to what players were able to live in January on their X series. The story is still as gripping, with its concept of parallel worlds evolving at the same time before our eyes, and if the gameplay is ultimately the most simplistic, we take pleasure in exploring these worlds.

6 / 10 - The Ascent
Sep 5, 2021

The problem with beauty is that it lets us imagine perfection on all levels. And The Ascent, despite a truly sublime setting, is far from meeting all the requirements that would allow it to rise to the level of the most memorable experiences of 2021. In 15-20 hours, we navigate between the happiness of discovering environments that do more than tickle our Cyberpunk fiber, to fight hard but correctly against hordes of enemies and a certain frustration.
