This 2018 episode is still an excellent baseball game, but it doesn't change al lot compared to last year's edition... MLB The Show series would definitely need a serious competitor to surpass itself.

It seems like Far Cry 5 tries hard to be different in some ways. But in the end, it is obvious it doesn't want to - it can't - step too far from its predecessors. There's a feeling that even though its world is new, appealling, offers some good tweaks, a magnificient set of allies and villains, and a potentially unlimited content in Arcade mode, we still have the same game flawed with the same A.I. problems, we still complete the same kind of missions ans see the same animations. As we sure can have fun and witness a fantastice ending, this can be forgiven. Until next time.

Sea of Thieves is absolutely great, but great for just a few days (for four days for example). That's how long it takes to realize that there is a big problem of content that makes the game quickly ultra repetitive

Burnout Paradise Remastred is a lazy portage of his illustrious elder. If we are happy to have the most complete version here, we can only regret that there has not been some modifications the ergonomics of the title. At this price we have the most beautiful and the most complete version of a game that has 10 years of age on its gameplay (wich is excellent, as we already know).

A Way Out is a unique game, a huge success in the narrative genre, that deals more than well with its urge to make us play cooperatively. The concept, that involves an almost permanent split-screen, not only works great, but the story, its characters and the way we deal with some really simple but really engaging gameplay makes us feel like we are actually the two lovely protagonists of this interactive, full of action and emotion buddy movie.

Level-5 was right to take its sweet time. Almost eight years adter the original game, Ni no Kuni II is as strong as its predecessor. Beautiful, varied, well paced and well written, the game almost ticks all the boxes of the J-RPG we all expect, even though it might be a little too classical and clean to surprise the core fans of the genre.

Desert Kingdoms is full of good ideas, but it lacks depth. Especially when you know that modders have already done a very good job on some cultures in the pack. And for free.

From Dusk Till Casa Bonita gives players the chance to spend a couple more hours with the kids from South Park. As always, the dialogue is funny and the story has a few WTF moments. Our only complaint is that the plot of this new quest could have been a bit more epic.

The Freedom Chronicles Season Pass offers 3 new stories and main characters, which is nice, but those short stories still suffers some of the original game's flaws, mainly its poor level design.

On the Nintendo Switch, Overkill could have offered the definitive PayDay 2. Some strange design choices and the lack of certain features (no online voice chat) refrain the game from reaching its true potential. And that's too bad as PayDay 2 really could have been a fun game on the Switch. Only people who will get to try the game's local co-op will get a glimpse of what could have been.

A.O.T. 2 suffers some technical issues, but it offers enough action, story and content to please all the fans of the anime. It's also a good way for anyone else to discover this fantastic universe.

Vermintide 2 is a splendor. Probably the best Warhammer game at the moment, especially because Fatshark studio is talented enough to keep only the best of this universe. With an intelligent loot system, charismatic heroes and many classes, and some great violent action, Vermintide is a must-have if you love cooperative action games.

We could not have thought of a better way to end Kiryu Kazuma's adventures. More than a simple GTA clone, Yakuza 6 is a generous game which will provide you with hundred hours of an amazing gaming experience. You will never be bored with the never ending amount of content available in this game. Moreover, Japanese culture enthusiasts will have a great time hanging out in a very well modelized versions of Hiroshima and Kabukicho. A must have !

Surviving Mars is a superb management game. With City Skylines (another Paradox production), it's simply the best in its genre, thanks to a deep gameplay, big content, nice visuals, great concept and mods compatibility.

Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus is a very good puzzle / reflex game, for newcomers and veterans who have already tried the first game. It offers new rules that boost the gameplay and renew the fun, and this Switch version also adds a game within the game, with a very cool co-op mode. Since the game comes out at a low price on eShop, we see no good reason to avoid this sweetmeat, as long as you like frantic arcade games where scoring depends primarily on your reflexes and your smartness.

True to the series' heritage, Kirby Star Allies asserts its apparent simplicity through a candid, somehow heartbreaking scenario, a vibrant artistic direction, and a sweet gameplay fundamentally built for conviviality, with ennemies that can also become skillful buddies once befriended. This amicable approach creates sympathetic cooperative operations and wonderful sequences of grouped transformations, but it results in a constrained, hence linear level design. While the new powers reveal interesting and potentially overpowerful teamwork synergies, those are only exploited into the rather short additional modes. More generosity, imagination and even boldness were expected from this moving, then ultimately nostalgic adventure.

If you expected something new from this version, too bad. Except that it now runs in 1080p/60fps, Devil May Cry HD Collection is the exact same compilation it was in 2012. Nothing more was added, the first two episodes feel quite old in terms of gameplay compared to a still fun DMC 3. And that's it: decent for newcomers, useless for those who already know them by heart.

Sword Art Online : Fatal Bullet has some flaws, but it can be a satisfying game if you're a fan of the anime.

This Nintendo Switch version of Layers of Fears offers new possibilities with the touch screen and the Joy-Cons and the DLC is of course included. It is also a little bit downgraded in terms of visuals, but the game is still the same : an outstanding narrative/horror adventure that you really shouldn't miss if you like the genre.

This first episode takes its time to introduce the plot of the Council as well as the RPG mechanics. They suit very well to the narrative genre, allowing the player to follow its own path through the choices of the game.
