In conclusion, if you enjoy the hack'n slash and want to spend some good evenings with friends on the Blizzard title, this console version of Reaper of Souls is a great choice. You will be able to benefit from all the content of the original game and its extension, with a high graphic quality if you buy the game on the new consoles.

6 / 10 - MouseCraft
Jul 11, 2014

Nevertheless, if you have a soft spot for puzzle games and you are not afraid to stumble too long on the same level, you should have a few good times in front of your screen and not regret your investment.

Rhythmic, colorful, funny, clever, the Latin Guacamelee! is so successful that it will make me lose my Latin. And like a plate of pollo nachos,it is to be shared. In this expanded version called Super Turbo Championship Edition, the Canadians of Drinkbox offer a little more to play and have mostly corrected the small flaws of their game already released on PS3, Vita, PC and Mac, and now available on Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U and PS4... The new hit of the summer on consoles.

9 / 10 - Shovel Knight
Jul 4, 2014

If we first have the impression that it will be only a sequence of winks addressed to Mega Man, his main and avowed inspiration, Castlevania or Duck Tales, Shovel Knight remains a unique title. Beneath its NES-typed game nature are treasures of original ideas, level design and maneuverability combined with an overall creation that will seduce the nostalgic. Released 25 years ago, it would probably be considered a cult today.

9 / 10 - Mario Kart 8
May 15, 2014

Mario Kart 8 forms a loop that connects everything that makes Mario Kart one of the greatest multiplayer series of all time, not to mention offering what is expected of a spectacular title on a console like the Wii U.

Contrary to appearances, the former spearhead title of the Ouya is not just a small game indie in tune with the times, displaying without complex its large pixels. Indeed, TowerFall is resolutely dedicated to local multiplayer, a practice that is now marginalized.

These PS4 and Xbox One versions of Rayman Legends will inevitably be compared to the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. There is no doubt that they offer a better graphic rendering, while eliminating loading times. So if you're a next-gen console owner and you've missed this great game, don't hesitate for a second and throw yourself on it!

If Forza 5 does not really keep all of its promises (reduced content compared to 4, still no weather, night races or pit stops, visually downgraded compared to what we had seen so far. .), it still stands out as the strongest game of this Xbox One launch. A sure bet for all car racing fans, who will once again find the very best in the genre with this fifth episode. Because Forza 5 is beautiful, fast, fluid ... and above all it offers extraordinary driving sensations, which adapt to everyone and make each turn exhilarating.

Super Mario 3D World brings together the best of both worlds, offering both a solid solo, deep in its game mechanics as well as its content, and an exciting, user-friendly multi, in 3D levels with level design inspired and of course totally mastered by Nintendo.

No sequel, no remake, no anthem of A Link to the Past, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds borrows everything from the game released on Super Famicom in 1991. But he does it in a beautiful way, with respect and accuracy, by proposing a gripping adventure and ingenious dungeons, without exceeding his model. It cannot be held against it, as any Zelda game cannot constitute a revolution in video games. And then this Zelda 3DS offers more, even if it plays security by being modeled on Zelda 3, a small upheaval welcome in the formula, thanks to a progression less dirigiste. Nostalgic and newcomers will find their account, despite different perceptions. This new Zelda is an excellent title, a must of the 3DS.

Rayman Legends lands on PS Vita with a little delay and for the moment a few less levels (invasions). Fortunately, these levels will be added for free soon and in the end we will end up with a version more provided than on consoles of living room, since it benefits from 5 exclusive levels. Despite loading times a bit longer than other platforms (but very acceptable), Rayman Legends offers touch gameplay perfectly suited to Sony's portable console.

That's it, for this beautifully narrated and very demanding 2010 game, it's good. A little outdated sometimes, but good!

For those who would be surprised to see a "simple" 4.5 on Rayman Legends, while he sets the bar higher than his older Origins, know that we did not feel the urge to make it a cult episode. Fantastic as it is, the real revolution was Rayman Origins and today Legends is just taking the experience a step further. My last days on Rayman Legends really transported me, just as Rayman Origins knew how to do it more than a year ago.

The Night of the Rabbit looks like a kid oriented game, but the puzzles point it towards the hardcore audience. One may clear them with a little research, but it's clear Daedalic didn't really master its difficulty curve. But in terms of production values and story, it's really good.

8 / 10 - Fez
May 3, 2013

If Fez is indeed a gem, he is not as polite as his peers, the Limbos and other Braids. But despite its bugs and inaccuracies, Fez is a smart game, made for lovers of puzzles and puzzles, those who like to take the lead, as much as exploring enchanting worlds and deliciously referenced 8bit. Personally, I completely cracked, and scribbling symbols, diagrams, in search of its secrets made me reconnect with a simple pleasure of play: that of discovering without being taken too much by the hand.

6 / 10 - Primordia
Dec 5, 2012

An SF-post-apo adventure that abuses a little of its Dude-bro humor but delivers a script and an interesting universe. Some flaws are compensated by the choice of the developers to vary the solutions to the same puzzle. Primordia could have been a more refined hair all the same.

8 / 10 - Max Payne 3
Jun 15, 2012

Rockstar has impeccably reappropriated Max Payne. It's darker than ever, and while Max Payne is certainly moving in a new direction with this episode, he remains a deeply black, tortured character, who kills in slow motion to accelerate his depression. Hyper playable, beautifully realized, the single player remains however a little prisoner of its formula: it is on the side of multiplayer that you will have to cool off, and against all odds, that of Max Payne 3 turns out to be a little gem.

8 / 10 - Bastion
Jul 25, 2011

Classic in its gameplay, Bastion cultivates its difference when it comes to evoking its narration... in real time. Thus, throughout this action/RPG all classic (but devilishly rich and effective), a voice will romanticize your actions. Your victories, like your defeats, every situation. Add to that a shimmering 2D progression and achievement, and you'll have the indized game of this summer 2011 in front of you. Failing to be as striking as the previous ambassadors of the Summer of Arcade, Braid and Limbo ...
