While it stays in line with its predecessor, Team Asano and Acquire understood the areas of improvement and worked to deliver a great experience

While comparisons to Monster Hunter are inevitable for obvious reasons, WILD HEARTS deserves much more than to be seen solely as the mirror of the Capcom franchise. We finally have a huge competitor that has been waiting for years.

Hogwarts Legacy has a fun and exciting combat system, and its visuals are simply beautiful. The school and other locations are full of life and details. Without a doubt, it's an amazing, huge and magical game; a charming journey that transports us to the world of Harry Potter.

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake represents a setback compared to what was seen in the remake of Battle for Bikini Bottom, which should be the standard, especially since this is a game with an "original" proposal. Without problems, it can be an introductory experience to gaming for children and youth audiences, but outside of that group and if you are not a fan of the series, better watch an episode or its movies.

I liked my time with Dread Templar, especially when the game took off and began to offer a challenge on par with the best exponents of the young retro FPS subgenre. On the other hand, I think it needed a bit of work to really stand out, perhaps by handling the upgrade system or the boss battles in a different way. In any case, Dread Templar is a good game that understands the classic fundamentals of the genre and contains adrenaline-pumping moments in polished and emotional combat.

The proposal is very interesting and will remain in the memory of anyone who allows it. It does a lot with little and shows that in the industry there is room for more intimate titles that focus on establishing a world and giving a message before creating a fun experience, with the good and bad that implies. Without a doubt, an experience to remember.

Of course it is not perfect and for this reason the original Dead Space should never be erased from the history of video games, but that does not mean that, despite a few failures, we are facing a remake that deserves to be played.

Although it has the potential to be the best One Piece game, Odyssey fails to hold interest due to its limited exploration, ups and downs story, as well as being slow and repetitive.

To say that Forspoken is a disappointment may seem harsh, but it's also not something that's far from the truth. It's not that Luminous Productions made a bad game, they just put out one that isn't particularly good either. It will be a run-of-the-mill release that will earn some fans for its strengths, but will fail to transcend.

Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider is a fantastic platformer that combines the best elements from the SNES and Genesis era with some fresh and fun ideas. It is difficult, as some of its inspirations, but beginners can still enjoy it and have a great time.

Monster Hunter Rise comes to new generation platforms with a version that promises to be the definitive one. Despite extensive visual enhancements, the game would have benefited from crossplay with no platform limitations and the Sunbreak expansion.

If you are looking for a game that will make you laugh, High On Life is the one. It's a bare bones FPS with acid humor, brilliant characters, and it's filled with absurd situations; it will make you feel inside an Adult Swim series. However, its limited exploration and rhythm, the game is better committed to making you laugh rather than shoot.

Astronite can be really fun and challenging, but sometimes it can be unfair and the reward is nearly not enough. If you are a casual game, skip it, but if you love pain and old school games, it is really worth the try.

Dragon Quest Treasures shines with a free exploration, progression system that will keep you busy with plenty to do. The variety of monsters and the use of unique abilities is a great idea but it's a shame that the battle system is limited, as well as having some graphical shortcomings. Despite this, it's a fun game, plus it includes many references that Dragon Quest fans will enjoy.

Need for Speed Unbound is perhaps one of the franchise's last efforts to stay alive at a time when its glory years are behind it. In the end, it brings together various elements that the fans requested to combine and execute them in a good way, resulting in a fun experience that keeps calling you back.

CRISIS CORE -FINAL FANTASY VII- REUNION is another success in Square Enix's re-release strategy. It's a release that succeeds at taking an old PSP game and giving it a fresh coat of paint that leaves it shiny for new audiences. At the same time, it stays close enough to the original to be a true nostalgic travel ticket to 2007. As mentioned, there are things that some prefer about the original, but it's wonderful to have an official way to replay Crisis Core, especially when you consider how important Final Fantasy VII will be to Square Enix for years to come.

The Callisto Protocol is brutal, violent and will send chills down your spine. What Striking Distance Studios did is far from perfection, but don't let that discourage you. The Callisto Protocol is a horror experience that is well worth getting to know. Just don't expect it to be a legendary game that changes the industry.
