LevelUp's Reviews
As a concept, Kerbal Space Program is something unique. Its depth and realism provide a unique and very satisfying experience if you have the necessary patience and dedication, but the game also suffers from several design problems that bring it dangerously close to the terrain of frustration and, as an adaptation, it is a product that could have been much better. That said, if you're a fan of everything space-related or sci-fi, it's worth it and not as expensive as an average game.

Inside is original, meticulous, aesthetically flawless with its chiaroscuro, depth, photography, sound design, and gameplay. I would have loved for its mechanics to be fully developed. However, he earned a deserved place in the best of the year thanks to all his virtues. It is strange to discover enjoyment in what terrifies us and generates anxiety, but this game manages to generate emotions through not only its dark context, but with its mechanics. Few titles manage to do it. Inside succeeds in producing a fascination for the unspeakable. It is almost like the irresistible attraction to observe the forbidden, the obscene or the sacred.

If Hearts of Stone was an uncomfortable, dark, challenging and powerful crescendo, Blood and Wine takes up the feeling of comfort and beauty of high fantasy, transporting us to a world that, however, is as corrupted as ours. The saga that showed that another fantasy was possible in video games concludes on an elegant and comfortable note. CD Projekt RED returns to the noble tradition of expansions: more than DLC, Blood and Wine is a complete game. You can't go wrong with The Witcher 3; while we wait for the next step, it only remains to say: something ends, something begins.

I think Overwatch is essential for every FPS fan; It is the game I will dedicate to the next few years and I have no doubt that it will last more than a decade. Overwatch is fun, exciting, dynamic; accessible for beginners, but extremely difficult to master. It is a benchmark for future installments for its great attention to detail and commitment to delivering the best player experience, on and off the battlefield. Without further ado, I do not hesitate to recommend it widely for being indomitable, charismatic and most importantly: fun.

I highly recommend playing DOOM because it managed to go back in time and capture the essence of classic FPS and innovate the game system with a deadly dose of evisceration and blood. DOOM is everything I expected from the return of an experience that marked my life as a player.

Uncharted 4 is the best Indiana Jones game ever made.

Killer Instinct is a good fighting title for the Xbox One. The addition of the seasons has given Microsoft reason to return to the series on one platform and not leave it as a traditional product that people could quickly abandon. Hopefully the product grows, for the sake of fighting games and its competitive scene.

Demon's Souls had the spirit, Dark Souls had the lore, Dark Souls II the difficulty, Bloodborne the combat ... Dark Souls III is a bit of a mix of everything but a little less strong and shocking than its predecessors. It's a high-quality game and an ending worthy of a trilogy and even a pentalogy. But it doesn't make you feel bad that From Software stopped, which is a bit sad. I feel that From Software must have other sights. The era of great linear adventures has passed, and the open worlds cry out for good mechanics and combat. Time to do something else. Dark Souls III is the end of an era but it is also the opportunity for the virtues that From Software has cultivated in the dungeon crawler from King's Field to transcend into more ambitious genres. As for Dark Souls III, it is a necessary ending. Ash to ashes, dust to dust.

As it is, as I said at the beginning: time is the virtue and the problem of experience. The chronological concept feels fresh, but Quantum Break was in the oven for so long, I was expecting a bit more, especially from the decision-making and the show. The transmedia component passes as a distraction or marketing ploy rather than innovation, and what could have been something genuinely unique ended up being good ... nothing more. Remedy took an excessively safe route in several of his decisions and missed opportunities to transcend the game mechanics. Despite that, the action is rewarding and the story clever; more than enough elements to give the game a good grade.

At the end of the day, The Following is everything we could expect from the Dying Lightexpansion, a memorable and extremely fun installment of last year's best zombie game because it continues the story of survival and follows to the letter a solid formula that we thought was appropriate. The Following debuts with the Enhanced Edition of Dying Light, which means that the base game received a lot of quality improvements. The best news for the owners of the original game is that they will have such a version without paying. On PC, the update is out of the box, while on console the additions should be ready as an additional downloadable package. The release of The Following is a worthy time to return to the best zombie survival and action game of 2015.

To say that Fallout 4 is a big game would be to reduce it to its shallowest values. The valuable lies not in the mere volume of activities it offers or the size of its map, but the striking depth of its mechanics and the masterful form as Bethesda made the world so that the plot was developed organically through characters, details of the environment and actions of the user alike.

In short, a title only surpassed by its sequel, Futari, but, at the heights in which these titles compete, the advantage is already a matter of infinitesimal calculation. Because for the player who has finished this game in its Ultra mode, video games as such (at least in their single-player aspect) already have very little to offer. In short, the closest thing to perfection in electronic entertainment: in this case, the recommendation comes out surplus.

Tales from the Borderlands is a good choice if you're looking to get away from the drama and suspense of other Telltale Games titles. Even if you are not a fan of Borderlands, this game will get you a laugh and may even convince you to play the rest of the series to learn the whole story. With each new installment, Telltale seems to learn more and has high expectations for its next game. So far, Tales is one of the best titles from the developer by combining great characters, a good story and moments that will remain in your memory. The ending is somewhat ambiguous, so I feel like a second season may be on the way and I can't wait to get back to Pandora.

At the end of the day, Halo 5 is a great option for fans of the saga, even those of us who were suspicious after the launch of Halo 4 and, especially, the Master Chief Collection. If you fall into this category, this game is an option that you don't need to think about. If you have never played a Halo it is likely that its multiplayer will catch you and you will become a fan, but you have to know that you will need to do a lot of research to catch up with the story because otherwise you will not understand what is happening.

Hearts of Stone is an extremely interesting expansion for The Witcher 3, faithful in tone and development to the saga but that is much more than "stoic hero faces a world in which humans are more monsters than the monsters whose heads ask for." Therefore, it represents fresh air for this saga that is about to reach its end, which we want to be spectacular. In summary, whoever buys this DLC will not regret anything, neither in content nor in quality. Now, to wait for our last wish.

The highest praise I can give to Undertale is to warn the player that he will not be the same before and after finishing it: too many decisions, too many memories and too many feels await. Will you seek to forgive the proud Amazon who pursued you with her spear as her attacks lose strength before your eyes and her terrifying agony begins? Will you betray your maternal protector to go out into the world and discover the truth? Are you willing to confront the coolest skeleton you've ever seen? Will you confess to that poor fellow who helps you along the way that you have unknowingly killed the love of her life? Dozens of decisions like these (or different, because every Undertale game is different) will be presented to you before you get to the moment of truth. Will you accept the challenge? I do, and I don't regret it.

Playing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was difficult. Perhaps this is the most complicated review I have ever done. The game carries so much sense for the franchise and the industry that it is impossible to be indifferent to external factors. Still, it feels like the franchise has always aspired to be this installment: in each mission, a deep and complex infiltration puzzle; in each boss, a challenge; in each enemy, the opportunity to strengthen yourself; in each shot, hope; in every word, almost 30 years of relentless creativity. This game is massive, complex, challenging, deep, ambitious, innovative. More than a simple video game, it is a life of devotion to a discipline.

Super Mario Maker is not the ultimate platform game tool (that would be learning real code) but it is the best platform game creator commercially available to all audiences. It's also an excellent anthology of Mario levels, with endless potential for growth and expansion.

Nostalgia and affection for a classic like Gears of War is powerful. The aesthetics, music, and gameplay of this title largely defined the industry. Even if I put all of that aside, this is a stellar, solid, fun video game that offers tons of content and hours of healthy entertainment. If you have never played this game, the purchase is a must. If you are a veteran, I promise you will not regret returning to Sera and exploring its ruinous beauty. You will play with a smile from ear to ear when remembering so many epic moments. Thank you, The Coalition.

Rocksteady bids farewell to the Batman franchise with a masterpiece, its best game to date. Each element feels like a love letter to both Batman and the fans, and the amount of fan service is ridiculous; the developers knew how to touch our most sensitive fibers and exploit them to the fullest. Batman: Arkham Knight is the perfect conclusion of an excellent saga and goes as it came: surprising us and leaving us with great satisfaction. We can only say 'thank you, Rocksteady for letting us be Batman one last time'.
